I used to love going to Kent i liked the Bodiam Castle area and Lullingstone Roman villa and castle area is beautiful. There's parts in the dale that look like that it's just up on the tops that it looks like on't telly!
i love the space. miles with no one. glorious.

I've plenty of the wide open spaces hereabouts. Mini twass loves to go where you can see for miles over the fields and no sign of anyone. A nice antidote to London!

No, it's nice to see communities that really haven't changed much for yonks! They may have more modern farming equipment but otherwise the life led is much the same as it ever was.

i love it here. it is hard but i'm sure as you find where you are, the quality of life and the landscape around you is priceless.if i'd still been living in london when i got ill i would have died. Can't imagine the nurses in london coming over to sort my garden out in their spare time like the ones here did when i moved back home!!

Many ways very similar twass, nothing like rolling green leafy fields. But being further west and surrounded by sea we don't get the hard snowy winters, but a lot of rain.

Mr tk was extremely envious of the tractor, quad, Jeep and trailer.

You lot laugh at my funeral going, but the feeling of community is awesome. I will forever be known as the Englishwoman (even though I went to secondary school with many farmers here) but can't imagine living anywhere else now.

Farm envy The quad can be a mixed blessing though. The local tinkers stole my farmer's first one and they can apparently tip you off quite unexpectedly!

We very rarely get snow here in the far South.

My Irish friend has told me many tales of life in rural Ireland. She's not lived there herself but her mum and nana grew up there and her granddad still lives there in a small village. How a fourth cousin is a close relation, and everyone in the village and others around can arrive for a cup of tea and a gossip at any time

Winterfell is not far south of the Wall.....so you may well be right!

can't speak for everyone tk but i know for myself i don't laugh at the funerals other than imagining them occurring in a sort of Father Ted type scenario (watched the racist episode last night " i hear you're a racist now Father that's grand" )
