Afternoon ladies!
Well finally back and just had lunch *licks roast pork covered lips* glad the wake went well tk, it's very touching when so many people come to express their grief. I agree with Twass too there was much laughter at my dad's wake/ i accidentally bought some Thornton's Chocolate Brownies on the way back from the hospital don't know if anyone has any room for a little afternoon tea. it wasn't raining today *faints* and no rain clouds either but on the way back there was this rectangular section of rainbow right in the middle of a clear blue sky most unusual but i'm such a child i always get very smiley at a rainbow ![]() hope you are already for samhain celebrations (they surely MUST involve a chocolate brownie or two? ) oh and your casting has certainly lessened my Linda Blairness keep at it *big thumbs up* ![]() There's always room for chocolate brownies....although I've already had a lemon drizzle cupcake as I made a batch earlier.....*puts plateful in chinproof safe*I'm all ready with my altar, candles, pumpkin, offerings and all the photos of my relations who have passed over and my OH. I love Samhain

Oh I can't quote folks but have been watching, when time permits.
Lovely funeral (died 6.00 Saturday, buried by 15.00 Monday). Intense, but very comforting for the family. The support was incredible. Now bed!! Oh and tkjr did his Marathon in 3.57. |

Will be mia for a couple of days, my next door (well across a few fields) neighbour died suddenly this morning. Been there since 8 am, so bed calls.
I am comforting one of my neighbours at present. He is in his late 70s and his daughter died last week. He doted on her (rather too much in my opinion) and inevitably he is distraught. |

Good grief - why the hurry? Did they want to get him(?) buried before halloween was over. That was barely time to make the sandwiches and the gravediggers must have ben digging through the night.

Sorry to hear about your neighbour, that's sad. Meanwhile I have stollen, blueberry muffins and chocolate muffins for the safe. |

Completely normal for here, the only time a funeral would be delayed is if a post mortem was needed, or someone needed to get here from Australia say. The support system is a well oiled machine which swings into action as soon as the news is out.

*munches chocolate muffins - they really are very good* I'm fine thanks planets, how are you? Any adventures to report?
no exciting adventures to report just been hospitalling and doctoring this week. watched Pride and Prejudice (the Matthew Macfadyen version) and Jane Eyre (the Michael Fassbender version) last night i think they should be prescribed on the nhs as i felt significantly better after watching them ![]() it's dark already here ![]() it's definitely crumpet weather now. we are forecast snow for the weekend i've still got poppies, marguerites and campanulas out in the garden and yesterday a lupin came out ![]() i'm very confused by it all. |
