I am not sure which forum this shoudl go in or even if I dare post it at all. So here seems a good safe starting place.

Have any of you seen the advert for I think it is Bet Fair; set in an aeroplane? I just did and I swear at least 2 of the passengers are blacked up white people?
I don't watch much TV so therefore, not many ads are seen....but I'll keep a look out for that.....surely not.....there would be such an outcry!!

Only in your warped imagination!

For cats they were behaving incredibly well. I'd never stick a baby next to a cat. Chances of being bitten or scratched extremely high

me too!!! i'm Team Pussy too

bit knackered today was up all night till nearly 8am being "poorly" (most polite way of describing it )then just as i was dropping to sleep some effing 01234 ppi bollox from india started calling me every 15 minutes. so i had to go and unplug the phone downstairs to get a couple of hours shut eye. Am back to hospital tomorrow more tests

For some reason i do ok with stuff and then when i get the copies of letters from consultants to my GP i find them upsetting. it's weird.

i didn't like the doctor i spoke to on Friday who was covering my consultant's patients while he was away; i suspect he was a registrar as he immediately went to scarethebeejsusoutofthepatient level 10 *growls*

however....it's roast pork sandwich day tomorrow i'm picking up the pork before the hospital to make sure they don't run out (this has occurred before i was not happy!)

how are you doing? any sign of the ghost squirrel?

Oh the poor creatures

just been out to check
the half the sky the moon will be appearing in: blanket of cloud
the patch of sky opposite. where the moon will not be appearing : totally clear
,
'twas exactly the same here, planets. Gave up eventually and went to bed. At 2 am, needed a wee. Sky completely clear and a very bright moon, it was actually brighter than some days have been.

That IS good news!! I saw the poor wee things on the news last night and wondered how on earth they would rescue them. Great that they have though.
Oh I'm so happy! Thanks everyone.

Eta good luck tomorrow planets, and enjoy that pork sandwich

Not heard a squeak out of it since early this morning, I am hoping I frightened the bugger off by banging on the ceiling with a stick. Cor, pork sarnidge day!! Yippee!!!

You soldier on with admirable fortitude. I guess not having a choice in the matter helps I've met some of those doctors who seem to forget the boundaries when talking about life threatening illnesses Scared the daylights out of my poor old OH back in the day.

fingers crossed word has spread in the squirrel community that your house is a hostile environment!!

i know!!!! pork sarnie day is a joyous celebration, where i remain blissed out on a pork high for the remainder of the day

i've had some right bugger registrars one told me i'd be better off with cancer, one told me i had cancer and (get this) would have to have my blood removed treated with radioactive substances and replaced ), one told me i was too short and the wrong sex to ever recover and during my last op one told me everything had fallen apart inside (which would result in death) and it would be treated with antibiotics (they wouldn't work in the scenario he described). I haven't really got on with registrars since i also had my least favourite one who told me that the massive three inch lumps that had appeared all over my legs (which had been documented and extensively examined by doctors) were both non-existant AND a manifestation of my negativity ! I was effectively Schrodinger's Patient both existing and not existing concurrently

I think i should be in the Lancet with that achievement

You are a medical conundrum to be sure! Such a plethora of different conditions and unusual and unfortunate events which led to them. You should invite Horizon to make a film about you. Fame at last!

I still think pork therapy is your best chance of recovery

hahhaah it was just one thing: they did the wrong operation nearly killed me and then everything stopped working!! bah If they had done the right operation i would have had one keyhole surgery out in a few days sorted in a month. That didn't happen alas...

thank you Dr Twass i shall stick faithfully to your experimental treatment

My sort of films are not quite like that....I like films like Leon, 300, Donnie Darko, American Beauty, Hero.....dark and weird and bloody But I like them.

I wonder if they were to invent a full internal organ transplant........well they likely will at some point. Hang in there That would fix you

I'd have thought a full digestive tract wouldn't be THAT hard to do. From the base of the oesophagus to the rectum. It would involve a heck of a scar though....and so maybe thieving the outer skin of the donor's chest and stomach as well might be a plan! Imagine that... a full set of working tum and bowel and a scar free bikini ready body!! Medical science just needs to catch up with my fabulous ideas

hahahha actually i have worse than the scar you describe: two hartmann's from sternum to pubic bone several little ones dotted about from drains, stomas and things and a massive solid 10 inch by 6 inch scar from The Hole from when i rotted during my last disastrous op! i don't look anymore

seriously frankenstein looks like Elle macpherson in comparison.

I'd take frankie over Elle anytime. He's far more interesting

I hope they're not plotting any more surgeries I really think I'd just say no and go and eat an entire pig! Including the snout!

they want to do a kidney biopsy and possible transplant
i may relent and let them do the biopsy but there's no way i'm having a transplant it's not worth it. with my history it would be a disaster, I'd rather just go for palliative care.

I don't blame you at all. I'd be the same had I suffered what you have. God knows what would happen, your body doesn't respond well to being operated on! And doctors can be wrong. Surprise! It does happen. They don't know EVERYTHING and there are always folk who defy the odds. You already have, more than once!

By the way I recommended Magnesium Oil spray to a sick friend earlier today. It is remarkable stuff! I'm hoping it might help with her many ailments. Mini twass is trying it to help with her teeth grinding habit. She squirted it on her jaw last night and today came out in a big rash But is going to try squirting it elsewhere!
