oh god watch it, watch it NOW!!!!!
don't wait to reply to this post just put disc 1 in your dvd player NOW!
If my daughter were not going to be here in little over an hour I would....I knew I would love it but I also know what I'm like with Game of Thrones. I can't watch one. I have to watch THE LOT, ALL OF IT, as soon as I've got the cellophane off the dvd! I put this away when given it in Summer as Winter watchings. This winter I will watch all of GOT again, Vikings and Last Kingdom. Over and over

Swords, sandals and sex. It is quite gruesome and there is a lot of nudity but it did get quite good reviews. I enjoyed it.

Tragically, Andy Whitfield, who played Spartacus, died aged 39 so they had to recast the main role for season two.

I remember reading about that.
I just wasn't sure if it was a bit more Xena in quality than Vikings?

i do love the film of Sparticus and even went to see the restored version when it was first released with the extra footage added....

Did you see Rome, Picto?

Yes, i've seen Rome.

Don't you DARE knock Xena. I grew up watching that show, along with Buffy.

Funnily enough, Lucy Lawless is in Spartacus and you see everything. I used to adore her in Xena.

I adored Buffy
*sighs nostalgically*
But you get what i mean though? about more Xena than Vikings?
I am currently rewatching the Battlestar Galactica reboot (am up to series 3) where Lucy is appearing as Deanna she's great in BSG (as she was in her guest role in X Files).

I'd say it's more like Vikings.

I've seen Battlestar Galactica as well. I watch a lot of box sets.

Winter is......here
i watched the first series of GoT and quite enjoyed it. I had read all the books the first two were good but then the books really deteriorated and i felt they needed a massive edit as they became self indulgent and tiresome.
The fact the books got so bad put me off watching more of the tv series.
Should i give it another go?

I was going to say, the last time I saw such a wretched specimen, he had been in planets' infirmary for a week, then

Hello everyone!!!

Thanks for all the good wishes it's been a right old time of it!
Moved back home *hurrah*
Massive storm cut the power *boooooo* power would come on intermittently but by the time the router re-set itself the bloody power was off again *boooooooo*
Living next to a forest has it's drawbacks *not sure whether to booo or hurrah *
All the effort in moving home floored me with a systemic infection and i'm back on the amoxiclav things which turn me into Linda Blair *booooo*
am on a massive cocktail of things that make me sleepy and off my face currently *hurrah*

am about to stagger downstairs to put the kettle on so can take any drinks order i will also be making crumpets with cheese if anyone wants any.....*hurrah*

The Detectorists has been the best show on telly this year nothing to rival it, what a delight i can thoroughly recommend it if you want something as an antidote to all the shouty meanness about on telly, it's truly heart warming. *hurrah*

I miss Rollo he could warm the other bits and pieces The Detectorists couldn't reach
Hurrah!! Welcome back and here is some amazing orange cake and a tray of mojitos. Hope your current setback is short lived, and look after yourself! We have been battered by Desmond for over 12 hours now, good luck everyone

Having trouble controlling my smilies, they are all over the place.

We have had a massive rural theft problem here the last few years; our glorious leaders felt that shutting all rural garda stations and shrinking the force by 50% was the way forward.

Yes, we got one rather confused looking rural fuzz. Basically nothing will happen
