Have you ever been rambling?

I live in a World Heritage Site of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Rambling is a way of life here

From when i was little my mum always took us out for rambles and picnics in the middle of nowhere. i spent a year rambling round various deserts, rainforests, coastlines and temperate forests.....i'm almost professional

Seriously, yes it's the thing i miss most about being so feeble at the moment. I used to do a 5 mile loop every morning before breakfast and i loved how every day was different the seasons changing incrementally, what's in bloom, I miss finding flowers i've never seen before and looking up to see what they are or some weird bee variety....i'm a bit weird like that

So not weird. Finding anything that might be classed as an orchid makes your day. Living at the edge of the sea and an estuary is always a good thing, we are at the Ribble).

I grew up about 5 minutes walk from the beach!! I love a bit of beachcombing

It's a way south of me but i have been round those parts. It's nice round Settle lots of hiking and fell walking, Gordale Scar is cool also you are close to forest and dales so you can zoom off in any direction and find something cool! You can also nip over to the Lakes easily from there Kendal isn't far.

There's the Settle to Carlisle railway i've always wanted to do that trip.

Evenin' all! Perishing here, freezing fog all day. We had two anniversary Masses this morning, one at the other end of the county so it was interesting travelling. Then I defrosted the freezer ready for Christmas and washed a pair of bedroom curtains. Now for dinner and Strictly ...

Hope to get the tree up next weekend after our trip up north for Xmas goodies, always get a couple of new decs in the pound shop, love it in there

They had baubles for 10p, I got two smashers...mini t got two jumpers, I thought I had a wooden owl for £1.50 but it wasn't in the bag when we got home....maybe I wasn't meant to have him. We just decided to go for it with the decs and have them up a good chunk of time

i bought a lovely pear from a chairty shop supposedly as a present and when i got it home theyhad used such cheap price stickers it peeled a huge patch of the enamel off so it's completely non usable now

What a shame about the pear....I often try to peel their label off things before buying to see if it will come off OK. Possibly the little owl is in the car and fell out of the bag....I will check tomorrow.

I love hoar frosts too, magical! Amazing! Rare things this far south but there was one in 2013 just after I moved in. Beautiful!

Haha, exactly, I like SCD as a welcome, glittery distraction from the cold and dark, I like some dances, dislike others but it's a bit of fun. The conspiracy theories are depressing and I'd never dare to enter over there except to thank the spoiler toilers for their efforts.
