Twass, that is as good as a holiday. Wot a description! And charity shop bargains as well! (Did you ever find owl?)

Glad you have had a rest. I got fed up of ads so put adblocker on my new tablet, and have spent all evening trying to navigate round. Ooh, jet, that sounds interesting.
Adblocker makes the world of difference doesn't it?
i gave some to my brother and he polished them up and made them all shiny like the jet you see in shops. I love jet my favourite earrings (i wear them all the time!) are jet.

Tpday has been so strange i've fallen asleep three times now it's one in the morning and i'm staaaaaaaaaarving
however while i was out i bought another one of those hams
it's going to be a hamtastic weekend

Hooray for hamtasticness! I have yet to find one small enough.......

tk I didn't find the owl. We went back to the charity shop where he'd been found and he wasn't there.....mini t wanted to ask at the counter if he'd been found but I didn't want a charity shop to feel they might have to refund the £1.50 he'd cost so we left it that he'd just flown away

We did indeed have fish n chips and were almost comatose afterwards from food overdose! It was absolutely gorgeous. It turns out I may actually get to Whitby next December since last night we were invited to go to the Krampus run by friends oop norrth who dress up and go. Always wanted to visit Whitby due to the vampire connection!

Haha! I bet you are, they're pesky little beggars.

Out all day, town was shocking, people rioting over wrapping paper etc. Got my hair cut, and when home put the tree up, mostly decorated, crib to be done tomorrow, but have to do a bit of Aldi shopping and call in on elderly Aunt.

Sort of glad owl soared off, twass. Nice to think of him twit twooing round the place

They are very willful

Oh i can well believe it tk when i went to shop on whatever day i went (i can't remember when it was, yesterday? the day before? ) it was horrendous....i only got through it by buying a cheesey scone from marks and sparks

we are living parallel lives!!! i've got to drive my mum over to see her sister (who is 90) but i can't say when i'm going cos i never know when i'm going to feel ok enough (it's a 100 mile orund trip). She's lovely but it's such a hike I'm dreading it just at the moment.

I've been wrapping most of the day (in between cooking and eating ham ) just about done all the stuff i've got waiting for other things to arrive in the post!!
Still i feel a bit less like i've done bugger all for christmas

will write cards tomorrow and post the parcels and cards on monday...will try and get the energy for the tree at some point not sure when

Can't imagine who would be deliberately influencing people to eat pork products, it's disgraceful if you are being manipulated tk Bloody meat bullies

i got my tiny £3 one in sainsburys i've not seen any that small anywhere else. It's 750gms

weather update: freezing weather and high winds blowing in from cold places will make you stay in bed today. crumpets with houmous and ham in the morning across the north with a light scattering of chocolate brownies in the afternoon.

It's very mild with outbreaks of cauliflower cheese in these parts, with isolated roast potatoes and a spattering of gravy. I think I may have to bite the bullet and visit Sainsbury's against my usual habit. Have to trek round the county again tomorrow visiting cat volunteers and I will have to pass two Sainsbury stores so..... hopefully

Thank you very much planets I too am watching Paddington and although they appear to be in the 80s rather than early 60s it's very good! I loved all the books too

Illness seems to have robbed you of a lot of life's excitements

I remember the books so well, must have had them out of the library a dozen times or more. There are sentimental bits for sure

Hiya all, will catch up tomorrow, out all day distributing pressies, tkjr a 7tread aluminum step ladder and elderly Aunt a musical biscuit tin and bottle of Jameson. She rang me an hour after we got home, thrilled, said she had never had such a nice present, keeps winding it up. Got something in me eye.

which viking god are you quiz

i am Odin

You see farther and feel deeper than most people, and your wisdom never fails to gain the respect of the people around you. Although you always take time to arrive at your conclusions well informed, you are also a person of action. When you deem something wrong, you fight hard to fix it.

In the end there was so much cat business to attend to I got no chance at all to go in any Sainsburys. So tomorrow I will continue the search for mini hamlets!

Here it is mild with outbreaks of toasted ham and cheese sarnies and possibly isolated showers of prosecco later this evening
