Yes, I will be orf shortly to the station for the London train! Woohooo!! Grey and minging here too. But never mind.

I won't be here tomorrow so blessings of the solstice to you all xxx
And happy returns to you twass.

I teared up a bit when i saw them having such a big hug when we arrived
They were very nostalgic and talking about when they were young girls during the war etc I love hearing all that stuff. I felt really illl when i woke up but i'm so glad i made the effort cos they were both delighted to see each other and my aunty was so pleased we visited.

Driving home last night was the most amazing sunset there was a lot of overhead cloud but the horizon was afire like a Turner painting. Gorgeous.
Aw planets, I had a similar experience a week ago when delivering my Aunt's (well really the widow of my late uncle, who has been on her own for many years now). The usual bottle, and a dinky M&S biscuit tin which plays Jingle Bells when wound up. She rang me when I got home to say she had never had such a nice present. And she's a very tough old countrywoman with no soft side at all

It takes so little to make some people happy doesn't it?
And yet some greedy buggers are never happy no matter how much they have.
I think there is a similarity in attitude between where i live and where you live tk. At least it sounds very similar.

After christmas i think i'm going to go and pick my aunty up and leave her at my mum's for a few days so they can visit with each other.

There seem to be a lot of similarities in attitude, certainly. People are pretty happy with their lot. When I read your post I thought, oh shame her Mum and Aunt don't live nearer, then realised the reason my sisters and I get on well is probably that we don't live near each other! It's always lovely to have a visit though

Can't wait for a lovely sunny day to boost the old vitamin D.

I couldn't sleep and I watched a series of interviews by/at The Screen Actors Guild. They are are 1-2 hours long and they really let the actors just talk at length about their careers and whatever comes up. Colin was so articulate, self deprecating and i enjoyed the way he sees the world the time just flew by, I could listen to him talking for days!!! (The other one i really enjoyed was Ewan McGregor). I know he's a lovely looking man but i loved seeing how his mind worked/works, he'd be great for a chatterthon!

For anyone interested THIS is the Colin Farrell SAG interview.

Hello neglectees. I just spotted P talking about stuffing and feel really guilty for not having dropped by for ages. Its been the strictly final and that means a lot of arguments needed attending to.

Anyway to make up I have put a range of seasonal sweet treats in the safe (althoguh I don't begrudge Chins some) Stollen of course, Florentines, gingerbread men and of course mice pies. A nice bottle of M&S Finest reserve Port (£5 off at present) too. Its a bit late perhaps but I do find a slice of stollen and a dram of port make a very acceptable night cap. x

I might have to go to bed. I started the port night caps some little while ago and they seem to have made me sleepy. Besides it will kill some time. I am all ready for Christmas with 2 days to spare and now don't quite know what to do with myself. I feel like I am marking time.
