I'm off for a nap now i need to make sure my strength is up for the Snog Hunt later on, that Colin Farrell is nippy on his feet...i've left you a tray of essentials so you don't tire yourself out leaving the slanket

totally agree with the above. it would be nice for an evening without horror.

Once i've finished building my Snog Catcher i'll bring you a pink gin, for medicinal purposes obviously
Please gods. Ooh, put me down for a pink gin.

That's a bit more like it. And we want Travis Fimmel as well don't forget and Johnny Depp and Aragorn from LOTR and the entire cast of Vikings including the women
Wee hee!

LOL spoke too soon. Should have known better Bah
Oh you know us An, always having to be the front line. Thankfully nothing personal to us, I was sorry to hear of your mum's friend, terribly sad.

I've had a message from FInk!
He asked me to ask you if a stollen is stolen does that make it a hotcake?

All this horror and bereavement only strengthens my resolve to enjoy the little pleasures and make the most of whatever time we have allotted to us.

In the spirit of that *binges on stollen*
Well said p, and greetings to Fink. Half my London rellies are in Sydney on holiday, and have posted the fireworks, the other half won't be getting much further than the local pub.

And thanks An for the Lulu link, hadn't seen that before.

It's not very warm here in my cottage now I'm home from son and DIL's, full of roast beef, yorkshires, roasties and veg and chrimbly cake! I am huddled under the slanket while it defrosts. Wet and minging out.

Well, that's it over for another year folks. Decs down tomorrow

It was lush, I feel OK but still coughing in a most revolting manner. At least the nose is drying up. I was falling asleep on their sofa so thought I had best drive home before I properly dropped off

Your food sounds very nice. Sprouts were missing from our food, my son thought we would all be bored of them by now but you never get tired of a good sprout

I am about to head back to my home which has been empty and the heating off since December 22nd. It will be freezing. On the plus side I will get the turkey carcass in the pan to make the first of the carcuss broth. So far we (Mum and I) have had 6 potions of broth made from the cooking liquer. The carcuss is in the feezer still untouched.
Turkey is such good value.

I should go and get a nice hot drink, you're right Hoisin sprouts sound rather a good idea! I am very awake now, although there were few cars on the road the visibility was poor due to the rain and the misting of the car windows

The time of your life?? Do elucidate!!

Ahhhh THAT sort of time of your life Love that film, but not seen it now in a good many years.

No bread sauce??? No sprouts? I could live without a pig in blankets at a pinch but NOT the other two! There's nothing nicer than a sarny made with bread spread with cold bread sauce, gravy and turkey

Once and once only did we have goose for Christmas. Never again. Great bony thing and all we got off it was gallons of fat, there was so little meat I had to do without any at all trying to feed ex Mr T, my mum and the kids from it's tiny little carcass. Cost a fortune as well. I put lots of gravy on my plate and pretended I had some Those that had it weren't impressed. Even the bone broth wasn't up to turkey standards!!

i've only had goose in one of those weird russian doll bird things (a duck in a chicken in a goose in a turkey) i'd rather have just had the turkey. It was a christmas in australia which was bizarre full christmas dinner in 45 degrees of heat *melts* then christmas pudding flavoured ice cream....that the the year of the no sprouts and no bread sauce dinner for me....*sobs* the horror....the horror....

A three bird roast! Such things are abominations It's unnatural I tell you!

I'd never want to be anywhere but good old Blighty for the festivities. Going somewhere hot would be very weird. Even going somewhere like France would be peculiar. I wonder what strange things they eat for Noel over there
