I hope you finally succeeded with the blu ray! I have my glass of hampagne ready to celebrate with if you have

YES!! i persevered and finally somewhere in the 8 billions of reviews for the product all over the internet, one lone hero had posted a fix. Was an effing nightmre i spent all day on the phone with Talk Talk and they "couldn't do anything". Sony website had nothing. I sent the guy who posted the fix a thank you! There were loads of people with the problem, it only happens with TalkTalk
![]() I'm going to post the fix in the tv tech forum in case anyone else has problems with SOny products working on a Talk Talk ISP. |

There was nothing but turkey mince and full price turkey breast fillets to be had. I WANTED BONES! Mind you I ran out of steam two shops in, clearly I am not fit yet, I had other shopping to get and quckly became exhausted so thought it best to come home and rest. I'll try again tomorrow but I think I may have to wait and have one at Eostre. [Easter ]. There were loads of massive pork joints marked down and huge hams but there's only one of me. In the end I just got a couple of yellow stickered pork chops and gave up

That does sound a fab way to cook pork chops, I've never put any cream on them but do usually sit them on some sliced onion, garlic and herbs and also strips of lemon peel. Lemon likes pork.

I may have to put the slanket over the bed tonight, which already has two duvets and a quilted coverlet and a furry blanket on it. But it is f***ing cold!!!! The slanket is in need of a wash since mini twass spilt her soup on it but it takes a while to dry and I can't do without it at present! |

Don't forget the more you expect your BP to be high, the higher it goes. White coat syndrome. If they were to run a 24 hour BP monitor on you, it would likely show much lower readings. Do you take a magnesium supplement? That lowers BP as does our magnesium spray and epsom salt baths. I should spray yourself liberally with the magnesium before going

Have you got sash windows Twass? the sash in my bedroom is so draughty it's making the curtains move!! i'm going to plug all the gaps up with cling film. I did that last winter and it made a massive difference. must get tea!! |

I do have a sash window and it doesn't completely shut. However, being the fresh air fiend that I am even in the depths of the most arctic winter I have the window open a crack. I must have fresh air! However, I may put a roll of clingfilm up there so that I can bung up the crack every morning. To be honest, the cottage has many dodgy windows with loose panes of glass, cracked panes, ill fitting windows etc. No wonder it's chilly
![]() However once the woodburner is lit it's snug as snug. If I light it around four I will have enough wood til bedtime. I try to eke the wood out a bit

It worked very well, although you may have trouble if you do keep lifting it to open windows Twass. It works best when it is sealed and taut |

That looks good, I could do it on the downstairs windows and the spare bedroom, bathroom and my bedroom I do like to open and close all year round. Testimonials seem good too! I have a problem with condensation upstairs mostly, so most mornings involve mopping the windows and sills and then drying the old flannels I use for that.
You can also get perspex double glazing that you fix on with somethign like velcro. Much more expensive but resuable year in year out and you can take it down whenever you want to open a window. Or you can if the window is quite small, which most sashes are. I considered it for my kitchen window which is a source of circulation draughts, despite being double glazed, but at 6ft x 4ft I couldn't manage to put the perspex in and out on my own and then there is the summer storage issue. |

It might help with that too, because it will make it harder for the warm wet air (that you breath out etc) come into contact with the cold surface where it ocndenses. The film stays a bit warmer so wet air can't condense as easily. It also reduces circulatory draughts - warm air cooling against the window, tumbling down and setting a circuation in motion. Plus the obvious idea which is to create a pocket of semi warm air as an insulator over the windows. Not that I am not saying it is perfect and no substitute for proper double glazing but it certainly helps.
