YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! I have succeeded! Went into the butchers and told him I was hoping for turkey bits for soup and he said "Madam, it's your lucky day" and indicated the chopping block behind him where a pile of legs and wings and thighs sat waiting to be boned out for mince. I got a whopping bagful for three quid!
![]() JOY! So I shall be roasting them for a nice dinner tonight and possibly for days to come and stewing the bones for soup. RESULT!!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() well done!!! ooo turkey soup can't wait ![]() give me a shout when it's ready

A massive tray of bits is in the oven roasting now. Tomorrow I will strip the bones and soup them but I think there will be a good few dinners out of them....fortunately I have an extra large packet of bread sauce and will make as much gravy as I can.

That's all sounding very good! I've been busy in the kitchen making loads of gravy and bread sauce. The bits have all come up delicious and crispy looking and they are now resting in the oven top keeping warm. Taters, carrots and parsnips are now roasting and the sprouts will be the finale. The smell is DIVINE, I wish I could bottle it.

Had forgotten that! I haven't had a mice pie at all this christmas ![]() GP knows i stopped taking tablets, nephrologist doesn't know. I see him in February. The registrar i was palmed off on last time told me the "all tablets have those side effects" (they don't) and "oh it won't be the tablets causing that" funny how i'd be fine not on them and then 4 days after taking them i'd be on the point of calling an ambulance i tried 4 times and every single time i had really bad side effects and excruciating pain in the places where i had my last surgery (which was what worried me). I said to GP before christmas i feel i've given it a good go and he agreed, I was determined to show a definite cause and effect though to give that shitty registrar the finger when i next see him. ![]() ooooo lovely my favourite! *clinks glasses* ![]() my gp was saying latest thing is that gin is good for kidneys ![]() it's a difficult choice: tablets that cause excruciating pain and chronic nausea or gin and tonic? which one which one ? |
