About time someone showed up!! I've had a grand time loafing about on the lounger, having swims, and drinking cocktails

Not had chance to start on Vikings yet, been toiling away all day. Why can't stuff do itself??? Good news on our little kitten with a heart murmur....took him to the heart specialist and it's not as serious as first thought and although there is a small hole in his heart it should get smaller as he grows. He will always be a little delicate but should live a normal lifespan if he's a pampered puss. We're all celebrating as we thought it might be far more serious and he might not live to be old enough for surgery. Now it seems he won't need any ops!

Are you Northumbria then? Methinks the monks of Lindisfarne are going to get their little world shaken up good and proper

Well somewhat hazy and one was in need of a substantial cardi today. But hey ho it gave us a chance to find out the limitations of Playa Blanca from a practical point of view. If you want to buy a sarong or a trinket its great but for real food not so good. We seem to be managing though, Knocked up a risotto with a salad tonight. And wine is cheap and the most simple meal can become an occassion with plenty of wine and a candle or two. (Wish I was in proper Spain though!)

Well, I've just bought seasons 2 and 3 online and I've not finished season 1 yet.

If Ragnar invited me for a threesome with his Mrs I would NOT be saying no!!

Hehe, went to see Victoria Wood at the King's Head, Islington, many moons ago and she opened with "Nice round here int it? If you want to buy a sea sponge tampon or a stripped pine fireplace".

Really don't know PB at all, so can't point you in the direction of real food. Just stick to the wine! Have a great time

Ah take no notice of me folks. I am a bit of a humbugger about holidays. We spend a small fortune to spend two weeks in a house which while looking lovely is less comfortable than ones own.

But I will have a lovely time because it is about family. But they like holiday Spain, if it were up to me we would be in downtown Valencia or a rural village in the Sierra navada or Extremadura, instead we are in a well appointed white box with a pool on a housing estate of white boxes with a pools. *shrugs*

It's a weird one isn't it?

You sound similar to me!! In a similar vein, resent going to restaurants where the food isn't as good as i can cook. Love eating stuff i can't cook!!!

Haven't been on holiday for a while, but my view is that a holiday is to go and experience something spectacular/out of the ordinary so my dream holiday destinations are places like The South Pole, Greenland, Macchu Picchu, Japan, Alaska.... of course not in a state to go to any of them

It's clear Ragnar has greater intelligence than most of his peers, from the outset. Those blue eyes glittering like chips of ice, missing nothing Yes, I am totally hooked! Is there a season four? If so it's not yet out to purchase......

*arranges towels neatly on loungers, even one with moose antlers embroidered on the corners*

Not for the first time P I find myself wondering if you are my long lost twin separated at birth. Except fot eh Viking obsession of course - but hey ho even twins have their quirks. Looks to be a sunnier day today so getthat sunblock on folks.

BUt yes I am a tad bored if I am honest. The availibility of a good market and a well equipped kitchen I think looms large in my mind because meals and the preparation of same is a source of occupation for me.
