You sound similar to me!! In a similar vein, resent going to restaurants where the food isn't as good as i can cook. Love eating stuff i can't cook!!!
Haven't been on holiday for a while, but my view is that a holiday is to go and experience something spectacular/out of the ordinary so my dream holiday destinations are places like The South Pole, Greenland, Macchu Picchu, Japan, Alaska....

of course not in a state to go to any of them
