I missed a disco!!! And a Bowie documentary?????

Came down this morning to a kitchen that was turkey scented Just put all the bits in the soup pan. I will simmer them long and slow later once I've added all the veggies and herbs.

Planets, I feel sure you've done the right thing coming off of those tablets. The body knows what it's doing making you feel nauseous. It's saying NO, these are not suiting us, stoppit now and have ham and gin! I wonder if the juniper in gin is what the kiddleys like? You could always do your ham with some juniper in the cooking liquid. The cure for everything is in nature.

I was blasting Bowie in the car yesterday as well!!!

it's okay! you didn't miss the bowie documentary it's coming! it's about the last 5 years of his life and there was a big black star as the teaser!!! can't remember when they said it was on though maybe tk can!! (might be on January 8th as that's his birthday)

awh! it's such a lovely smell isn't it? *drools* i'm so glad you found some turkey for a belated christmasy dinner. Your broth will be yummy i'm sure.

couldn't sleep last night was up till gone 7am then fell asleep exactly when i was supposed to ring the doctor
just rang no message of imminent death on my results so i shall take that as a sign to cook my ham today!! my brief but intensive turkeytherapy seems to be ok!! back to porktherapy now though

The fabulous aroma of turkey fills my hoose. I just have to wait for the broth to cool enough now to pick all the bones....I love doing that Tonight's turkey dinner will come with bread sauce, gravy, sprouts, sweet potatoes and red cabbage with apple and pear chutney stirred through it. I am drooling already at the thought!

That's precisely why I gave up on the music forum, where I lived for a few years when first on DS. I couldn't cope with the sh*t most of them thought was music. The thread tracks posting through the night had some proper gems on it and some amazing posters [including me of course ] Happy days.

Good news re the results. You just needed PROPER NOSH and plenty of it. Salad my arse.

lovely stuff!!! can you move? or are you just sort of beached on the sofa?
i've been really good, i've taken the tree and decorations down crossing my fingers i've done it without injuring myself but too tired to cook so i've got porridge for dinner

i did have a lovely sing song while taking the decos down though a real trip through nostalgia had to be done

I'm well and truly beached Well done on taking down the decs, always a chore! But so good once it's done. Porridge will do at a pinch, if you lived closer I'd nip round with a couple of pints of turkey broth....its full of meat and veg, more like stew!

600+ mile drive's a bit far innit?
I say this every year, or if i don't say it i think it: my house looks perfectly fine and lovely before christmas, i put the decorations up and think oh look lovely isn't that pretty, i take them down and everywhere looks really bleak and like some sort of cold war gulag in comparison

i might have to have some christmas cake to make up for the porridge

I loved my cottage with the decs up and I loved it with them down! Past homes I have lived in did look like grey wastelands after the stuff came down...particularly the marital home with ex Mr Twass. Apparently it's a whole lot grimmer now nearly ten years afterI left with no cleaning being done This place has a charm of its own, tinsel or no tinsel

Oooh Christmas cake...............maybe I'm not THAT stuffed. "has a Mr Creosote moment"

no they just did a test export of data to see what needs sorting out before they do it properly!!

there was a thing posted at the top of the forums explaining but they've taken it down so who knows what their plans are now ....
