Happy to oblige TK. Its been a nice day today, although I did have to use the pool to escape these damned vikings everywhere. Have done battle with the rental cooker tonight. A dinner that would have taken about 20 minutes only took an hour an ahalf to cook, so we are making progress. However we are improving on the foraging front, finding places that sell this and that. My brother and his wife arrive tomorrow so that is good too.
I have to say that, even though we always self cater, I never use a holiday kitchen for much more than assembling deli stuff for lunches. I travel with a large list of restaurants to try

YIPPEEEE my DVD's arrived!!!! I'm going to try and ration myself, so tk can catch up!!
Oh please don't ration yourself, it's quite possible I'll still be on series 1 this time next year. Will stick my fingers in my ears if you're discussing stuff!

When I read about the Viking horde that had been uncovered by a detectorist close to the M40 I immediately thought that would be Planets looking for Rollo.

How are you doing now, planets? Got your place back in shipshape and Bristol fashion? Are you well?

I'm saving Vikings for the weekend although I may crack tonight. Had lots to do and also been gardening although I may have THOUGHT about the vikings while doing those things!!!

Stop that immediately! I can feel my resolve melting away like frosting on a rainy day

I've written ALL the cards, wrapped ALL the presents and parked all but two bags of them on their recipients!! *proud of self* Usually at this stage I am running about like a headless chicken searching for gifts and frantically writing cards.

Maybe I will watch episode one when I gots all me work done................

you are soooooooooo good i've done nothing
my whole focus was on getting home...then it was on recovering after getting home.
i was excited i'd bought cards yesterday.
i have bought precisely one present so far.
i'm guessing amazon is going to get some heavy clicking tonight
can't decide whether to do a tree or not
can i hire you to sort out my christmas please?

i'd like to sleep until june

*ragnar gives you sexy knowing look*

How well I now know that look

I'd willingly come and sort out your festive stuffs. You'd get a Yule tree cos I don't do Christmas, but it's the same!

You are right that getting home, and recovering therefrom, are far more important than whether folks get cards and presents. YOU are their present, cos you are no longer in hospital! Actually just make a hat out of festive paper and say TA DAH whenever your friends arrive
