OOer! I hope Little is OK, Moose.....

I think you must be referring to that little understood condition BIG BONES, nood
That'll be it

Little seems okay. She has her purr back (she always purrs) But last night she just wagged her tail ferociously and .... GROWLED at me. She has never ever growled at me Then proceeded to hide under my bed, and in any dark corner she could find so couldn't check her for any possible injuries. She had been ever so sick - threw up her own body weight and she's such a tiny cat it must have hurt like hell so hopefully she was just feeling ever so sore. Didn't get up this morning, not eaten yet but has just toddled off out looking 'ok' so hopefully whatever was wrong has done one!

Sorry to have neglected you folks. The internet here is good but seems to go a bit flaky at the time of day we are still and I can sit and read/type.

I am soooooooooooooooooo pleased to see the reemergance of our very own thread moose. Welcome back moosey. I haven't read the whole thread yet but we do semed to have moved off vikings a tad and I note a requirement for champagne. I can't do champagne but have stocked the fridge with copious amounts of cava, some of which only cost 1.30 euros. I am making a paella tonight too.
Aww thanks An

Cava just won't do I'm afraid. It has to be champers so off you trot to get some because not only have I returned home ...... SO HAS DEXTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She may have drunk from a puddle contaminated with a small amount of anti-freeze. A lot of it and she would be far sicker than she has been. It leaks out of cars and if there are puddles of standing water it can dilute into them and pets drink from them You might want to offer her a scrambled egg or some white fish to start with if the tum's been upset. They love a bit of scramble!!

I'm not fussy An! Cava and paella sounds fabulous Although I have just been for a festive afternoon tea with fellow cat worker and DIL, mixed sarnies, whopping scones with butter, clotted cream and jam, and an assortment of festive mini cakes I'll find room for paella though for sure

It's amazing how cats will go for any old crap lying on the grass or fallen from a bin, and their bowl of lovely Pussynosh gets a distainful look and shown the butt. And it's the same Pussynosh they fell over their paws to get at last week. Now you may as well have offered them a plate of tripe and onions!!

Haha spot on!

Makes me laugh in the pet food aisles in Supermarkets. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been stood there dithering and someone has sidled up to me, given a knowing pitiful look and said defeatedly "You've got a girl too then!"

Phwoar! *drools* That's sexier than Travis Fimmel

Here at Cats Protection, we have food donation bins, and so many of them are full of partly used cat food which folks own fussy felines have refused to eat. The ferals we feed will eat absolutely anything, so it doesn't get wasted...but we don't try it on the domestic goddesses we rehome. We usually discover what their fastidious tastes are soon after they come into care!!

Hope Little is perking up Moose, that was my first thought, she had eaten or drunk something dodgy.

Hi An, are you enjoying the sunshine? Would love a spot of paella and cava, and will finish with a slice of this choccy log, yum.

Evening tk, hope your limping is less! I usually limp and occasionally even give in to a stick, however for the past few weeks having used a product called Flexisec, I am not limping at all. PAIN FREE WALKING!! Oh the utter bliss, I hope it lasts, first time in four years!!

What is the Flexisec do and what's it actually for?

Little is certainly very vocal and squeaky tonight tk - I think she's over the worst of whatever is was.
I love her little squeaks. She still has her kitten mew. Mind you she stopped growing at about 9 months, that's probably why

Norty is the absolute worst to try and feed Twass. She'll get on just one flavour she'll eat. So you go out and buy as much as you can then boom! She's off it again and will mope and mither for days until she relents and gives in to another with much huffy puffy reluctance. And so the rigmarole goes on It must be a Tuxedo thing cos I had the exact same kerfuffle with my first little lady who was a tuxie

Have a look at this:

http://www.flexiseq.com/row/

Now I don't have arthritis that I know of, but many years ago I broke the tendon in my foot and didn't seek medical attention until it had knitted back wrongly. Therefore I have one weird shaped foot. I had little trouble with it other than regular sprains until four years back, when it began to give me serious gyp just as docs had predicted it would in later years....Flexisec seems to have taken the gyp down to minimal levels. Brilliant stuff!

Little sounds gorgeous....but Norty is too I am sure despite being cattus fastidious [most of them are]

It's quite expensive and you need to put plenty on. At first I thought it wasn't working but it was me being parsimonious

Oh dear. Will I need to sell a kidney to afford it?

The spinal unit where I had my surgery last year is now under investigation for many botched spinal ops where they took the completely wrong bits out. Not sure I want to go back

*Wonders why I still can't bloody walk*

Did you have fusion of your vertebrae? My DIL has severe scoliosis and has more metalwork in her spine than the Forth Bridge Tis amazing what docs can do....but if you are helped by this it would be fab! It's around £17 a tube. You can sometimes find it online for less. But it is worth a try for sure You will need to stick with it several weeks, then suddenly....bingo!

This is Spain so they don't do the international booze selection we are used to (advantage of not really making our own vino is we get to pick from a world wide smorgasbord of options). I will sort out the Frenchie's eversion when we get back but for now its Cava, Sangria. Spanish wine or spirits of whatever nation. Weird thing is that here a carton of DonSimon Spanish red at 1.15 euros tastes like nectar. However I have brought it home and somewhere over the Atlantic it turns to pure vinegar. Odd.

I'm assuming it wasn't a total success if you are having trouble walking My BIL had it done about 15 years ago after a basketball injury and is pretty much fine, works as a postie walking miles every day!

To be honest, it could be that I lapsed on the physio. Everything was so suddenly manic when I was discharged, mum being so ill and needing 24 hour care, along with a broken legged cat, then mum's passing. Caring for myself took a back seat.

Gonna have to go back to the bloody doctors

Sorry to hear about 'Little' Moose. Hopefuly its something that she purges and is alright. But great news that Dexter is back. I had rather lost hope there if I am honest.

We have had a pet cat adopt us here. We have called him Diego. He is such a friendly cat. He just joins us and sits all day, meowing as and when. He makes no attempt to go into the villa and doesn't beg at the table. However he did feast on prawn heads tonight which he crunched on very happily.

He obviously knows cat people when he finds them. My brother has a cat Kenco, my sister's cat Scraggs died recently at quite an age. I don't have one on account of living ina flat and an allergy but I do love them. Diego has been on my lap half the evening and I am itching like mad.

You should really. But don't blame yourself, I know how it is when an elderly Mum is so poorly Everything else goes to pot.

The good thing is that Flexiseq has no drug content, that's not how it works, so it can't harm you or interfere with other drugs you may need to take. Its new technology. A spinal brace might help but you'd need specialist advice as to which one to wear, possibly one made specially ....

I've been nagged by friends for years to see the doc about my foot and still not been The last time I went, after x rays etc the doc said, well, we could operate but you'd be laid up six months and it may not necessarily work. So I turned and left. Obviously!!!!
