Is it safe to pop in? Two sisters, one brother and son rang me in quick succession tonight; maybe they were staging an intervention? Ooh I'll have a drop of that rosé please

An could have saved her money and stayed here
Grrrrrr Tell me about it. i have forfeitted a comfortable home for one that is nowhere near as comfortable not least because it doesn't have my stuff in it. And have spent 2 weeks on an an inhospitable windswept, barren rocky outcrop in the middle of the Atlantic fit mainly for lizards. Thank God the wine is cheap.

Aw An, are you not feeling the magic? We live on an inhospitable windswept, barren rocky outcrop in the middle of the Atlantic fit for midges and spiders, where the wine is rarely below €10.

Then for our one week away we go to Lanzarote.

Funnily enough I have thougt of you often in the last two weeks TK. It has crossed my mind that you leave an island that is reknowned for its beauty and lush green appearance and seek R&R on this bit of volcanic rock and hvae wondered why you like it.

I hadn't considered teh booze - which is magnificent in its VFM I can't argue with that. And it is sunny.

Each to their own I guess but I prefer mainland Spain.

Right you people. I have a million and one things to do this weekend, including throwing together three memory books (me and my bright idea's) in time for that dreaded C word.

I have left over yule log, scones and sister moose has just dropped off a giant victoria sponge she didn't want. SHE DIDN'T WANT !!!! People are not normal !!! She's just headed down to the land of Totesamazeballs and Shataaaaap for the father in laws funeral next week. With the best will in the world, I will never get through it all myself, alive So help yourselves

I lived there until three years back. When I go back now, I hate it even more than when I lived there. Noisy, dirty, overcrowded, no one talks to you, and you don't feel safe on a lot of the streets. Here I don't even lock the car!

Haha, I think it's the complete contrast that gets us, we first went about 12 years ago and liked it. Then we went somewhere different every year until two years ago when we returned, and, having found the perfect accommodation, decided it was for us. Plus we have a lot of favourite restaurants!

Sister Moose did for about 15 years after initially going to uni down there. It was actually a shock when she suddenly decided to move back home with no real explanation. I never minded it for a visit but not at this time of the year *shudder*

I can't bloomin' give it away so looks like I'm living off cake for the next week

Not getting anywhere fast today but the craft table is erected at the ready. That's about as far as I've got ... and dad's love letters printed out. Though I've just stumbled upon another one Trying to get some order to the proceedings by sorting out parents baby pics first. This will all come together ..... it will .....
