Ah, the joys....I forget the less fantastic points of cat ownership as the years since Rosie's demise lengthen........the stepping in cold cat sick with bare feet, the partially eaten presents left in your slippers, the LIVE presents brought in and let loose in your hoose!!!
So do you want her or not??

I still do!!! If I were only allowed pets there would be dozens of cats in my hoose. Probably all hurling and pooing and weeing everywhere

Keep at it !!!

I had the same battle with my mum a few years back (As well as the heartache when they die - losing my first just about destroyed me - I was just semi recovering from a long term illness so I know she was worried a lot of the care would fall upon her shoulders if I happened to regress)
Very very reluctantly she kind of agreed to me getting one (More a case of well I'll come to the rescue and look at them with you. But we're only looking okay???) I came home with two Then Norty followed 18 months later .... she was supposed to be a temporary foster. You can see from the pic why there's no way I could let her go

Right thats it. Anything I haven't got dry now can rot. I have put it all in the spare room and shut the door.

I am going to go back a few pages and read back. I have had a glance here and there and it looked a bit Viking. Although the upside is that menas Planets is back. Yay! And Danger Moose is back. YayI So all our Sillies are safely gathered in for Christmas. The shops are shut and anything we haven't got we can manage without.

Anyone fancy a bit of Stollen? Do you think it will go with Port? Or maybe a Tia Maria. I have a cold so my tastes are a bit funny at the moment.

I bought some limes today to see if they can do for my cold what they did for Planets. Can anyone remember how one eats/drinks them. I don't fancy sinking my teeth into a whole lime.

You are the fussiest Moose I have ever known. I have garlic mayo and those flaky pastry twisty things. Any good? And a selection of cheeses, crackers and aubergine chutney is out too I expect. Would you prefer some chocolate truffles? Or tentatively suggest some of these mini cheesecake bites. I doubt that they contain actual cheese.

Now you see you are so easy to feed. I am experimenting tonight. with a middle eastern inspired sprout dish. Roasted sprouts with panchetta, figs and pomagrante seeds with a tahini/garlic dressing.

Garlic mayo would be lovely - just don't feed any to Norty. I really need to sleep tonight

Now are the cheese and crackers actual cheese and crackers or cheesecake? Are the mini cheesecake bites actual cheesecake or cheese on a cracker???

Well it was a sort of curates egg really. I love spending time with the family and to have all that quality time, shopping, cooking and eating together was a delight. The bit inbetween sitting about in the sun are less good. I get a bit bored to be honest. Evenings are OK but because we watch TV from my brother's server over the internet it is a bit heavy on the CSI, NCSI and other US shows that both my Mum and Sister in Law like. Althoguh I was introduced to Doc Martin whcih I had never seen and quite enjoyed.

But we didn't need to go all those miles, the hassell of the journey a to live in a house that is less comfortable than any of our won to enjoy each other so I do have mixed feelings. But yes I think is the answer on balance.

Cheese cake bites are sweet desserty things from Aldi.

Cheese and crackers is stilton, smoked feta, boursin or camabert with savoury biscuits.

Bugger I was a bit too impatient there. I put it in a cup and added honey and boiled water.

Is there an improper Schweps tonic water. then? I like the sound of that.

Evenin' all! My quotey thing seems to be knackered, so I'll just have to remember!

Merry Christmas cazzie, hope you have a great one with your gang.

I'll have Norty!

Hope everything dries out ok An.

Been out all day delivering pressies so it's time for feet up and snacks; sausage rolls, cheesy rolls, nuts and crisps, mince pies and pear cider or gin and tonics. Help yourselves

Oh I see. Well I woudl be surprised if our tap water contains quinine and I doubt the honey did either so maybe it won't fix my sore throat etc.
