As I drove through surrounding villages earlier the Stour has burst its banks at Fordwich, which means the Nailbourne will be next and Littlebourne will be under water So grateful I live halfway up a hill. It would take a Biblical style flood to put me underwater I feel very sorry for those affected by the floods.

Actually....we've not heard from Moose in a bit....could she have been flooded out ??
If only it would stop raining for a day or two to allow it all to drain away for a bit, the land is so waterlogged it doesn't get a chance.

Moose is busy in Big Brother forum.
I had a look at the cast and thought i'd rather not

Oh yes, I know the Victorian Houses you mean, and Subiaco is rather beautiful. That's why I like Fremantle too, it's got all the old colonial houses and they're just rather lovely. Not heard of (Papa?) Luigi's in Fremantle, but a quick Google search reveals it used to be where the Merchant is - so I know the building!

Yes, the weather's always absolutely awful in Albany, four seasons in one day. Very pretty place, but sod all to do, still enjoy going to visit my parents there though. I definitely do miss Perth/Fremantle a lot, especially as it's summer now. Doubt I'll miss it quite so much once the sun comes out here and it's winter over there!

Oh yes, Durham, I've been there! Not been to the Durham Dales though. I'm picturing it as the Derbyshire Dales with Newcastle accents and violent sheep...!

Hahahaha, Vikings having a poo and wee on television! Oh, how far we've come! It'll probably only be a matter of time before we see Ken Barlow nipping upstairs for a number two! Although I have it on good authority that old Emily Bishop often does a wee mid-scene, but they just don't draw attention to it. Apparently it was like that on 'Last of the Summer Wine' too.

Are the accents decent in 'Vikings'? Do they all sound British/Irish/Scandanavian? I'm always so appalled when there's some historical thing set in the Isles and they sound American or unconvincing. Russell Crowe was like that in 'Robin Hood'. Very unusual Nottingham accent at work there.
we have very friendly sheep and highland coos here!! The best being Dougal the Bull There was a programme that started at the weekend (i missed it ) called Beowulf which was filmed just up the road so it looks like that really

There's a mixture of accents and languages spoken ancient norse and anglo saxon and engish with scandy accents of english accents as appropriate. I know what you mean about Russell Crowe in Robin Hood what planet was that accent from still wasn't as terrible as poor old Kevin Costner's *hugely strong american accent* "this is english courage" hahahhahahahahahahah

eta i see Twass has apprised you of the accent situation apologies for repetition!

Are we all watching Vikings, is it?

I'm listening to Björk - has anyone seen 'Dancer in the Dark'? If not, have a go. It's such a Marmite movie. Some love it, some hate it. I'm a lover - honestly, one of the best, most heartbreaking movies I've ever seen.

In the meantime, I will try and catch up on Vikings. Or invent my own storylines... "I can't believe that guy is actually his father!!! :O :O"

Oh, I could rant on forever about dear Björk. Latest album - best yet. Only because she sings of heartbreak following her divorce, in such an unlike Björk fashion that it's just pure beautiful. Just utterly beautiful. Got me through a messy breakup!

How is Vikings?

She's an Icelandic interprète incroyable! No doubt about it...

You fell asleep?! Ooooh, someone's either been breathing in too much of the old dale air, or getting their medication wrong.

Being the sweet, charming diplomatic being I am, I wouldn't dare to comment as to which I think it is...

Bjork is that rare thing a true creative, mad as a box of frogs but she's amazing i even loved the swan at the oscars it would be impossible to choose just one song from her repertoire. i haven't heard the latest album though is it good?

i hadn't slept for two or three (can't remember ) days so i just couldn't wait till the night time sleep comes when it will

of course now i'm wide awake *taps fingers impatiently on laptop*

So weird a friend of mine rang me out of the blue tonight, they were feeling all nostalgic as this time last year they were living in Perth!!! There must be something n the air that's making all the ex-Perthians come out in the open!

Perthians are a virus. You never get rid of them!! Perth does have this weird thing about it though, when I lived there, there was this saying that you "have to leave it to love it"- and I think it's very true. I spent eight years loving Perth, but for the last few years feeling incredibly isolated and frustrated, and it's only now that I get what they meant by that saying. Very true.

Definitely recommend Björk's latest album. Not very upbeat, but just pure heartbreak beauty. Stock up on the valium when you give it a listen!

Oh, not slept? Are you an insomniac? I know I am!

i guess it depend of circumstance and the friends you have around you would make a massive difference. I was really lucky in that regard i guess.

Hoorah nice to know someone will be up!!! everyone goes to bed reeeeeeeeaaaaally early and then wakes up at my bedtime
ooooo sounds appropriate to the moment, what's it called? i have a tonne of morphine will that do instead of valium?

i have issues with sleep it's all over the place. i do love how quiet the night is though....i live in the middle of nowhere but there's a different sort of quiet at night.

In a pressed flowers kind of way?

Hi Peeps. I have been AWOL. DS did that thing where they make you log in again and for the last few days I couldn't be arsed to spend hours trying the multitude of passwoprds I may or may not have used when I registered.

How are we all. Looks like I have some reading to do. I have picked up from my last visit but there are pages!

They seem to have gone for certifiable freak overload. It could be one of the merits of the series.

Actually I only know who two of them are. Kristina from SCD and Daniella W from Eastenders back in the day when I watched it. Ihad heard of David Guest but couldn't have picked him out of a line up. Probabaly still couldn't to be fair. He has the sort of face that I imagine is temperature dependant.

I think you should be writing the tv review for BB!!! You make it sound much better than it no doubt is
As regards picking out David Guest look for the one who looks like a melted waxwork (unless there's more than one like that? )
I remember watching Mr Guest on I'ma Celebrity years ago and i give him credit he was value for money and quite funny as i remember (had a lot of anaesthetics since then so i could be thinking of Jude Law in a Sherlock film for all i know )
