Not started Vikings yet! Will do - once I find a place to watch it, as I'm Sky-less.

Yes, I was watching CBB. Didn't watch it last night, mind, as I got sidetracked. Instead I watched this BBC Three doco on overweight teenagers going to fat camp. This was the same day I went and bought 150g of Twiglets (ate them all) and 400g of Cadbury's Dairy Milk, after weighing myself and finding out I've put on 6-8kg in the last six months. So I basically spent the night staring at my stomach and feeling self-conscious!

There was a big point raised in the documentary, that it's a lot cheaper to eat crap than it is to eat well. Then again, I think as a society we're a bit of reliant on sugar and salt, so it's probably our own fault that we're all so big... We've spoiled our taste buds! Sorry, I'm tangenting again.

Love the video of the moose. We've all been there. Go to the florist, then the bakery, pop into the supermarket, cause some 'minor destruction'... Get asked to put your clothes back on as you're led out of the store...

We actually have the DVD's nood. I am Skyless as well. It was well worth the investment as I will be watching these many times!!

Very true regards the cheapness of crap food, I think this is why so many on low incomes are overweight. They have to feed themselves on what they can afford, leaving the likes of fresh fish, vegetable stir fries and quinoa to the wealthier classes......

She's not lost she's in CBB.
I spotted her as soon as the doors opened; she's wearing her giraffe disguise.

SHE'S ONE OF THE CONTESTANTS?????????????????????????????
Don't think it's strictly official, but I bet she's having fun!

Got to finish a couple of jobs, then it's ep 3 for me. It has stopped raining for a few minutes, now we have hailstones.

I know you won't believe me but the thing i like best about Ragnar is how clever he is. I love how the actor portrays his though processes, you can see the cogs turning and even if you don't work out exactly what he's going to do, you know he has seen something the others have missed....that smile when he's worked out his strategy is brilliant

I agree entirely. He's pretty but it's the BRAIN that does it. Like you say you can see how he's thought about things and knows how a situation will pan out, so much better than the others seem to. He's a strategist and a forward thinker and he keeps an open mind. Probably rare in those times and in that culture.

Rare in any time!! It's the creative thinking that provided great leaps forward in civilisations

(oh my god the sky has gone a really weird colour - off to investigate!)

panic over! there was a break in the cloud and a bit of sun had crept through colourising all the clouds a sort of golden colour - it looked apocalyptical! :O

where were we? oh yes the rare brains that stand out in their generation...who can see beyond what everyone else sees....i love how that is being addressed in this often it is glossed over or not even noticed.Lovely stuff writers!

Yes you have! I'll do my best to catch up before tomorrow but do not let me stop you.

I loved ep 3 today, as you say to watch Ragnar's brain working is fascinating. And the whole thing is gorgeous to watch. Hooked

Sorry guys, won't be catching up on Vikings tonight. Double episode of EastEnders, and umm.... Got me greasy blonde mittens on David Bowie's new album!

By the way, are we in second series territory with it?

The fifth series of Vikings will air in February for those with satellite dishes! So there's plenty to watch.

Do let us know what you think of that album, I've always been a fan

Since your escape you've been on quite a culinary trip haven't you! I can't blame you after so long on hospital food. It's grim isn't it

i enjoy cooking and experimenting!!
Hospital food is horrendous.
I had weeks of this stuff we named "brown" no one knew what it was (even a pathologist on the ward couldn't discern what it was it was), brown was a super dense mousse (i was on pureed everything) that smelt and tasted of cheap cat food. I managed a quarter of a teaspoon of it over the weeks

now it's cheesey scones and curry i love my kitchen

You must have got very thin I remember visiting my Dad in hosptal on Xmas Day shortly after he'd had a horrendous operation and him being given a pureed Chrimbo dinner. Well you've never seen or smelt anything so vile Beige and reeking of overcooked cabbage.

I'm sure you appreciate every bite of yummy food now! What sort of curry?

pureed food is horrific i can't explain the taste. christ knows what they make it out of. Did you ever taste any of your dad's?

I am loving making all my favourite meals! eating when i want is a joy too. Tonight i made a chicken korma from scratch and it was sooooo yummy...
