Confirmed by the BBC. ITV have thrown big money at it.
Ronseal, exactly as the thread title says. Ratings have been poor for XF for a while now, had its day? |

I just don't know why they'd think The Voice would do any better. If they put it in Autumn it would get smashed by Strictly, but leave it in Q1 then they'll have a packed first half of the year but only IAC in the second.

I expect they'll use it to boost Q1, especially with Dancing On Ice now gone and its replacements doing awfully.

Hopefully they will scrap XF and SC , and concentrate on The Voice which is a much better show.

the voice format is awful... one team could have best singers and only one singer to the final.

The Voice is a far better show which is obviously why they have got the rights as they realise it themselves. Fix factor has had its day.

The Voice is better because they don't treat the audience as if they're stupid and they have a band. The little things. Plus I'll never forget that epic battle between Christina and Nathan with the Power of Love.

Its ITV.
It's like one of those adverts on TV for Oxfam, or NSPCC. Only in this case it's ITV. Want to know where all your money goes when you vote on shows like X Factor and Britain's Got Talent? Or when you vote to win prizes shown on Good Morning Britain? Well, take a look at this. **30 second teaser for The Voice 2016 that cost £1 million to produce** Because at ITV, we care. Thank you for your continued support.

The main problem that both The Voice and XF have is that a majority of the voters vote for the people that they like rather than for the best singer, hence the string of mediocre winners on both shows.

It's more suited to ITV, it never really worked on the BBC
In saying that XFactor has had its day and it would be nice to have a change |

The Voice has always felt like it was on the wrong channel to me. It will be better on ITV I'm sure, they will throw big money at it and get big name judges. As long as they don't drop Emma Willis and replace her with one of their "faces" like Philip Schofield it will be fine.

Of course, a lot will depend on how Paloma Faith and Boy George do on their debut series, but if it goes well for the pair of them, I see no reason to change the lineup just for the sake of it. |

The Voice is terrible for a number of reasons. The main reason I can't stand it is cos will.i.am does my tits in. The other reason it's a joke of a tv show is that it has produced ZERO stars. Not a single one - aside from Becky Hill who had a number 1 in 2014 and is "critically acclaimed". Her track Losing is brilliant.

I doubt many who bought that even knew she was on the Voice. |

The Guardian is saying that The X Factor might end up on Sky if ITV axes it: http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-ra...voice-from-bbc Quote:
There are suggestions that Sky could acquire The X Factor if ITV decided to axe the show.
Sky1 maybe?
