IPhone 6 through washing machine
I accidentally put my iPhone 6 (which ive had for 2 months) through the washing machine earlier
it was turned on at the time and the screen still worked but now it won't even turn on at all. We have it in a bowl of rice at the moment! Will it be able to be fixed by Apple??? |

Might be cheaper to contact your insurance company, if you had it insured. You will likely have to pay an excess of around £100.

It would have fried the internals of the phone being turned on/wet, if it was turned off straight away then you may have had a chance of saving it, saying that a washing machine cycle is normally between 1-2 hours, so it wouldn't have stood a chance really.
If you drop a phone in water and take it straight out and turn it off, you can most likely save it using the rice method, but if it's been on and wet for some time it will fry it and no amount of rice will fix it unfortunately ![]() Best answer was the insurance one I think |
