With my old Laptop and old phone it was fine (Samsung S4 to Dell) but now it seems overly complicated. Is there an easy way?

This morning I seem to have MOVED all my pictures from phone to laptop - so they are no longer on phone? Can I move them back?

TIA

Unless I'm reading this wrong its very easy, Plug your galaxy s5 into the laptop using usb, Then navigate to a folder you wish to put them in and they will transfer over

This is how the old phone and laptop work. Alas the new gadgets aren't this simple!

I have had a look at an online guide and still can't fully figure it out. I am so low tech

That's how it works with my S5 as well (plug it in and then it shows up as a drive).

Are you unlocking the phone when you have plugged it into the computer as it may not show up if not?

It should just show up at something like GALAXY S5 or the name you have given your phone when you plug it in.

Mark.

Mark is right, plug it into the usb and you can navigate both the phone and card from "My Computer" on the laptop. Photos are in a folder called DCIM.
