Are they likely to remain your favourite couple till the end (and you'll vote for them in the final) even if the dances they perform from now till the final are not as good as others? What I mean is, have you invested in them so much now that unless they muck up completely you will be voting for them regardless?

Or is there still a good chance that despite being your favourites now, you could change your mind further down the line if your favourite couple doesn't improve as much as you'd like and/or you find another couple are performing better?

Once I have a favourite couple I stick with them regardless. Once they are voted off I obviously move onto someone else. Well if they get voted off that is.

Jay and Aliona are my favourites, and will remain so until they reach the finals.

It depends on the series. This year no one is close to J&A so I can't see that changing.

Last year pixie was my fave but I was happy to move on to others when she went.

Other years when my fave goes I flounce shout and cry about them being robbed and refuse to watch the rest of the series.

Well I have two favourites and will be sticking with them both till the end. I can appreciate other couples like Jay and Aliona for example, but there's no chance of them usurping my two faves Team GG and Glita

That was partly my inerest in asking the question. I know J&A are so far ahead in public support, and if the fans are invested already, I think regardless how the dances go (beyond a major hiccup) Jay is likely to win. I hope the final is exciting though and not too obvious.

Probably this, though if my favourite is clearly not good enough to make the final then the robbed part is left out.

In fact, the clear rigging of series 6 was one of the main reasons why I missed most of series 7 and the whole of series 8.

So, I just hope my favourite lasts at least till the semi-final so that I am more inclined to watch a whole series this year.

He already survived that with the QS (with even some fans claiming that it was still brilliant despite the glaring errors, lol).

There are four couples I would love to see in the final - Jay and Aliona; Helen and Alijaz; Georgia and Giovanni; Anita and Gleb - in that order.

Anita will probably go out in the semis.

Jay is my favourite and if he gets to the final I imagine I will vote for him. Even if he danced so terribly that I couldn't vote for him, I wouldn't vote for any of the others unless Anton and Katie were in the final as I would like Anton to win before he leaves. I don't like any of the other front runners enough to make me want to vote for them, even if their dancing improves.

I like Jay first, then Georgia, Helen and Anita but if any of them, including Jay, started dancing badly or didn't put effort it I wouldn't vote for them any more..

Also, if any of them were in the danger zone or were very undermarked by the judges, they would get my votes as I would like all 4 couples to get to the final.

I expect Jay will be in the final but I don't think A&G will get to the semi finals even. When they get eliminated eventually will be the time I switch off SCD this year (just like last year when Pixie Lott was eliminated.)

I'd be shocked if Jay didn't make the final so i'll be fine. If he were to be eliminated earlier then my support goes to Georgia, Katie, Helen, and Anita (in that order)

It's easier now there are 3 free votes. I'd never done more than one phone vote in the past, so previously it's been hard not to vote for my fave, but I've been what I would call fair and voted for someone else if they've re-e-e-e-e-ally pulled one out the bag and my fave has ballsed it up. But now you can do free ones on the website, I'd share them out if need be.

Yes I will turn off when Anita and Gleb get eliminated. I have warmed to Georgie over the series though but I wouldn't miss her. Anita is the one I like to watch and I have a soft spot for Jeremy but Anita is really the only one I would miss.

I'd definitely miss Anita too, she's a breath of fresh air.

I usually work out who I'd miss the most by considering whose dances I rewatch on YouTube the most. Those are Anita, Georgia and Helen.

I think my favourite has only made the final three times in 11 years. So I'm a real expert on what I do when my favourite goes (as well as the kiss of death obviously, sorry Jay).

If my favourite is not trying, has got as far as is fair, clearly hates their partner or clearly hates doing the show - I will stop voting for them and probably drift to someone else, or have a 'best of the rest' choice of who I would rather win out of the ones left. Eg I loved Gavin and Katya beyond words but I stopped voting for him before the final because that felt fair because of the standard of his dancing.

I think at this stage at the competition, anyone would have taken bets on Austin getting to the final, Gethin getting to the final and Jake getting to the final. Nothing is certain.

For me it definitely depends how they are doing on the show each week. If the performances become poorer but other contestants have won my respect through hard work or spirit (looking at you Jeremy Vine) I most likely will change my mind.

Jay is my favourite even if he has a bad week I'll still vote for him because it's highly unlikely that he will be bad every week. I spread my votes out just now between quite a few celebs but that will change as we get into the final.

I'm the opposite, I've never had a favourite who didn't get to the final, apart from Pixie. I don't pick any who aren't contenders right from week one so I guess that's why. To answer the O/P - I pick my favourite and follow them all the way.
