Interesting replies and a little bit varied.

I got a bit optimistic with G & G's chances after seeing them on Saturday. For some reason, I'm very confident about their performances now - I don't worry that it might not be as good as I'd hope. I only feel they will improve, especially given the dances they've done and the ones they've still to do. Whereas with Jay, while I think there's every chance he can pull out another stunner like the jive, I think there's also a chance he produces something underwhelming too. Given I'm a G & G fan, I got excited last week thinking they may have an opportunity to win it if they continue as they are. However, I kind of realise that nomatter how it goes in terms of dance and performance, there are too many people invested in Jay now for it to be likely there is any other winner apart from him.

I shouldn't really complain though, as I know that if Aliona and Jay did put in a better dance than G & G, I still would vote for G&G. It really is hard to be more objective about a dance once you have your favourites

My method too.

I generally like a couple where you can see that the person is really trying hard, even if the celeb is not the best dancer, eg. Jeremy and Karen. However, my first vote is always for Anita and Gleb because they've been consistently good (IMO) so far, and she isn't a trained dancer or actress. I'd love her and Gleb to win.

Change mind depending on dances

Jeremy & Karen are my favourite couple and I shall vote for them until they are eliminated or win

But if they sadly eliminated before the final then I shall switch my allegiance to Anita and Gleb

I will continue to vote for Jeremy unless he ever seems to stop enjoying it. I don't care if he goes out there and sits on the floor for a minute and a half, as long as he seems to be having fun. He just radiates pure joy and enthusiasm, and I love him!

Other than that, there are dancers that I tend to vote for (Katie/Jamelia) and dancers who I like and would vote for if I thought they were in danger (Helen). But, as the competition continues, there's a chance that I might throw a vote to another couple who did a dance that I really enjoyed.

And, apologies to the dance purists - but six years of dance training is too ringerish for me to vote for Jay. I enjoy watching him, but I would rather see someone who has actually had a bit of a *shock, horror* 'journey'!

Jay could come on the dancefloor and sit on the stairs , I will continue to vote for him until he wins

I tend to change my mind over the series. I like it that way. Makes it more interesting.

so the premise of the question is not something I've had to really cope with.

This year,nobody has consistently impressed me so I this week I have voted for Jam&Tris so they feel some lovin' and they deserve to stay over Carole and Jeremy (although the latter has been entertaining).

Anita and Gleb, Georgia and Giovanni, Jay and Aliona. Jamelia and Tristran (although not favourite, I think Jamelia is trying very very hard)

Jay and Aliona are my favourites this year. I only pick one favourite, usually in week one and stick with them until the end..hopefully the win.

If Anita and Georgia had been contestants yes Jay and Aliona would be my favourites. I certainly enjoy watching Aliona dance. She is brilliant. Have to say Jay isn't too bad either.

Jay and Aliona for me, if they should be voted off (really hope not) then Helen.

In the past I have chosen a favourite early on and stuck with them until they won. But I haven't had a favourite from early on in a series since Chris & Ola won. Since then I have only chosen a favourite later on in the series and once I decide I stick with them until they're voted off or win. If they get voted off, I stop voting until the final and if a couple thrill me in the final, I will vote for them.

Last week I decided Georgia & Giovanni are my favourites this year, but as I have 6 votes every week, I'll still give other couples a vote or two if I like them. Tonight I voted for Georgia & Giovanni and Jeremy & Karen.

I like a journey - doesn't matter where they start as long as they 'grow'

Jay - though starting from a higher level than some, compared to the Launch Show, not the same person!

Anita - a beginner who works so hard and is so enthusiastic

(Jay, Kellie, Helen and Georgia have about the same amount of previous training, averaged out and they've all improved.

In previous years Natalie G and Denise V O had a lot more training and experience than any this year; they started very well but didn't add much as the weeks went on, so didn't appeal to me.)

Most years my favourite at least makes the final, but usually wins. If they do go out, I stop watching, sulk and strop about the board for at least , what, 7 years.

If I don't have a favourite, I don't get to the end, I lose interest, so I've missed a few series as I couldn't get invested in anyone.

If Jay goes out, I'll stop watching, but continue to annoy you all for years with his robbed he's been

I can't say exactly when I decide to tie my colours to any particular ship, or even if it'll last. I had pretty much jumped aboard Team Pixie/Trent last year, but then they started to decline a bit and Caroline started her rather epic run towards the family so I'd jumped ship by the time they were eliminated (it still hurt though)

The year before, I started supporting Sophie Ellis-Bextor after her foxtrot in week 4, because generally speaking, if you can make me love/re-watch a foxtrot, then I'll enjoy almost anything else you do.

This year, I'm probably closest to rooting for Jay and Aliona, but I need them to do another real standout dance so I can properly engage (it doesn't have to be jive-level, it just needs a bit of that it-factor).

I've voted for the past two weeks and voted for Jeremy only. As and when he leaves - I imagine Blackpool may be his swan song - I'm not sure who I will vote for. There are a number of pro dancers I like, Kevin and Gleb being the main ones. I'm coming round to Anita and Georgia whilst going off Helen and remaining cool on Jay and Kellie. I can't entertain Peter as a serious contender.

Started with Katie as my fav but moving on now due to a whole series of disappointing dances, still like her but not so much her dancing.

I tend to have 2 or 3 firm favorites over each series. However some series, I don't always have contenders as favorites and that's a bit of a problem for me because I hate it when I cant like at least 1 or 2 of the finalists; it will just make the finale unwatchable for me. I liked Simon and Kristina but I knew that they couldn't win . Kevin and Frankie, Meh.... Last year pixie was the contender I liked the most and I didn't really follow the rest of the series when she was eliminated. I didn't even watch the finale; strictly went downhill for me that year and I was just looking forward to next year. Didn't care for Caroline. At all , especially as a winner.

In 2013, Abbey and Sophie were respectively my 1st and 2nd favorites, meaning if Abbey couldn't win I would have loved to see Sophie win. I just liked them both

This year, I love, love Jay. He and Aliona are just brilliant together. He's my clear favorite to win .
The last time I remember supporting someone like that was Abbey Clancy.
Anita and Georgia are my 2nd and 3rd favorites. At this stage of the competition, I still feel comfortable splitting my votes between them, especially since Jay is quite popular. I couldn't afford to do that with Abbey for example because her public support prior to her bottom 2 appearance was dodgy so I couldn't take any chances.

However, after blackpool Jay will be getting ALL my votes because the competition start to get really serious . The only way I would chuck Anita and Georgia a few votes is IF I feel a bit generous

I always vote for Anton, he was the reason I started watching Strictly and I always enjoy his dances no matter how good or bad.

Then I throw a vote or two to deserving couples or people I feel need saving from the dance off. Yesterday Anton and Katy got 5 votes and Jamelia got one to hopefully save her.

But each week, I vote on the poll which dance I have enjoyed the most, even if it isn't one of my favourites.

If Jay and Aliona were voted off (unlikely), I wouldn't vote for anyone. When Gethin and Camilla were voted off on the semi-finals I didn't vote then.
