They are voting for Anton.

I honestly think you're wrong there. I think people really liked him at first for his different appearance. But once they got used to that what else did he have to offer? Diva performances each week? Doesn't work for a guy.

2009 was 6 years ago.

Also, IIRC, Joe wasn't out of the closet at that point, and certainly wasn't as flamboyant as Seann.

Isn't it the same every year though, they have to have at least one joke act on the tour

Seann will get work anyway out of this, or as someone said a few posts ago they will find some way to get Seann on the tour anyway

Didn't Joe come out AFTER he won the show?

LOL, not happening. This guy was the only reason I was even watching this year anyway.

The problem is people are narrow minded like you.

But it's okay, The X Factor is losing viewers, just as people like you are gradually being accepted as out of touch with the current climate.

The guy who was made to stay in the closet by the producers until after he had won the show, of course.

So people were accepting of a gay man 7 years ago? You think it's gone the opposite way since then?

Most people suspected Joe was gay anyway. But that's just one example. Rylan did fairly well on little talent, and was the definition of flamboyant.

I don't think Seann should have gone. But it wasn't because the UK is homophobic.

May be not but I'm guessing they attract the kids. Probably the only act that has more kid than adult appeal. Seann was unlucky to go so early but I said weeks ago people would quickly tire of him.

Easy to say now.

Back when The X Factor mattered enough to have hundreds of threads each weekend on DS, I remember there were countless "is X gay?" threads.

And Marcus Collins, who was a poor singer and still got to the final with Little Mix among many others. Its not about his sexuality.

Sean just made all his songs sound the same. Great voice, but he only had one interpretation of a song, and he used for every single one. Once you'd marveled at it once, their was little left to be enthused enough to vote for in the subsequent performances.

Or, heard it once, heard it all.

People were accepting of a guy who didn't come off as gay 7 years ago. "Suspecting" someone of being gay is a far cry from a man who wears a skirt and makeup.

Rylan was also in the bottom 2 week 1, and he didn't even wear a skirt. IMO, Seann is more flamboyant than Rylan was.

This isn't just homophobia, it's transphobia.

So anyone who doesn't like your favourite act and suggests it's a diva act must be a bigot. Fine carry on thinking that way if it pleases you.

As mentioned above, Marcus Collins. Will Young.
You're being silly. Don't try and play the homophobia card because someone talented went home. Talented people get voted out all the time. Just because Seann is gay you act like he was voted out for being different when you're the only one treating him differently by suggesting such a thing.
