Did people like him? How do you know? The audience has only had their say twice in the whole competition so far, and one of those times he was voted out.

He could have toned down his act if necessary. But he wasn't given a chance. And there is simply no other reason why such an excellent performer should have been voted out this early on in the competition, other than the fact he is gay.

It just makes me sad that people would rather vote for a guy who throws down his microphone and acts like an entitled see-you-next-Tuesday, than the best singer in the competition knows what kind of artist he wants to be and does it all with class. Shame.

Rylan was also in the bottom 2 week 1, and he didn't even wear a skirt. IMO, Seann is more flamboyant than Rylan was.

This isn't just homophobia, it's transphobia.”

And Rylan isn't complaining. He must be earning a bomb....

But same voters who voted to keep Anton will have to do same each week, as he could go at any time if the Producers wanted him to leave. Results of keep voting for him will have someone else booted out and someone you might not want to leave.

I'd like to see Che leaving as he's far too cocky, and a few girls leaving wouldn't go amiss.

And neither of the two who murdered classics got within an ass's roar of the bottom 3.

Poor Judy and Michael.

Yes, that's why I singled you out. Nothing to do with bigoted sexist comments about dresses or how "being a diva isn't for guys." You're completely innocent and being picked on.

I didn't see the series with Will Young in it, was he wearing a skirt?

You're hopelessly naive. It was clearer than ever before tonght that the judges are being told how to vote. Clearer than even Carolynne vs. Rylan. From a producers point of view, who is going to appeal to a bigoted "older" audience? Probably neither, but lessso Seann, so that's why he went. Don't wanna offend the viewers with "traditional" (read: outdated) values.

FYI, I didn't even bring the word "homophobia" into it, you did. This is as simple as discrimination just for being different. Seann didn't fit the mold that society expects from a man, and that's wrong.

To be a fly on the wall when Simon and and the producers are huddled in an office saying "How did we eff that up over the weekend"

Another RTV/talent show clanger to add to the collection, taking its place alongside Jasmine and THAT decision on CBB which caused Ma Willis to nearly faint with the shock

If you ever see him, tell him he's got fans, and to carry on performing, and he can do better than being on XF.

Well yes, but it was also easy to say back then. At least it was for me. But I understand that as a gay man maybe I'm more attuned than middle England at picking these things up.

I'm shocked Seann has gone this early though I did predict he would go before Mason the other day. I'm sure some people's dislike of him will be fuelled by homophobia. But, speaking only for myself, having been impressed by him early on I got a little bored by the constant over-theatricalness of his performances and started to find myself downright irritated by him on Xtra Factor. At the same time vocally he was easily one of the best last night...

What am I trying to say? I'm not sure really, except that I think the reasons for his departure this early are much more complicated than just a homophobic UK. I never really felt any sincerity from him, for instance, just a theatricality that verged into hammyness at times.

I give up. Everything you're saying is based on assumptions.
The world is more accepting and more understanding than ever. The only person treating Seann differently is you.
Sometimes the talented people go home. It's been happening for 12 years.

Thank God, talking to you is like talking to a brick wall. I give an argument, and you go on an unrelated tangent about me treating him differently, not even trying to address any of the points I've said.

Could be that you don't have a leg to stand on.

Gosh, where will you go when your weekend evenings no longer have The X Factor in them?”

In fairness Tammy, the guy has a valid point. He's got an incredible voice and gives a very emotional performance. So his camp image has to be the reason the GBP don't "get him" and pick up the phone. Imagine him dressed like Anton, no way would he be out now.

What a load of crap. Dressing in a skirt and heels hardly makes Seann different. You're the only one treating him like he's different btw.

Because there's no point replying to your argument when you're going into such detail about why the producers chose to sent home Seann when there's not even any evidence that the producers decide. Nothing but assumptions.

Goodnight.

Well, according to other posters, the way he chooses to dress has nothing to do with why he's out...

IIRC wasn't there this same uproar when Lucie went over Jedward and also Carolyn going over Toofy

And most probably when Ella went in a shock result

I don't see the problem, he is sorted whatever he does next whether it be Eurovision, theatre or another reality show, dare I say it, another contender for CBB in 2016 along with Bupsi?

So you're saying that you see a man dressed in a skirt and heels, wearing makeup, every day?

Intriguing, where do you live?

I don't actually pay attention to to what people wear. I judge them on what they're like as a person. Perhaps you should do the same.
