I don't actually pay attention to to what people wear. I judge them on what they're like as a person. Perhaps you should do the same.

Just put you know who on the lgnore list, they are obviously just looking to stir trouble
Back to the show, yes it was a shock and guess they had to do SOMETHING to try and halt the descending ratings and get people talking The competition is now firmly wide open for that runner up spot now as Louisa is NOT going to be beaten to the winners spot |

You're being silly. Don't try and play the homophobia card because someone talented went home. Talented people get voted out all the time. Just because Seann is gay you act like he was voted out for being different when you're the only one treating him differently by suggesting such a thing. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/we...s-back-6756102 being gay is more widely 'accepted' because its something that is part of someones private life so its usually something thats not apparent in their everyday lives but alternative dressing is blatantly obvious so will be much more difficult to accept for anyone with phobia inclinations |

i think its quite naive to believe that a phobia of alternative lifestyles didnt play a part in him leaving. we may be quite a long way down the line of eradicating homophobia but we're only just starting with transphobia etc, it's apparently still ok to set up pranks making jokes about it

I don't mind these two on Xtra Factor but I think I preferred last years show, with Sarah going to the judges dressing rooms, running about and such. Felt a bit more 'raw' and hectic, like with that other presenter a few years ago.

Oh, absolutely. I don't doubt there are some people uncomfortable with it who therefore wouldn't of voted for him. But I don't think that's the main reason he went home. I think someone like Seann is capable of winning the show in 2015. I think it was just a case of people either getting bored of somewhat repetitive performances, or a classic X Factor case of thinking someone was safe.

no doubt people didnt like his overly dramatic theatrical style (i wasnt fussed on his performance tonight) but he was right up there as one of the best singers in the competition (if not the best) so imo its shown that we're lagging behind the rest of europe (who voted for a guy in a dress with a moustache as their winner) in our acceptance if he couldnt even garner more votes than the likes of anton (not a great singer, weird faces and very bad performance & song this week), max (no charisma & boring song choices in live shows), mason (good singer but poor public image after arrogant rant), lauren (good voice but no charisma, just seems lost! :/ ), monica (great voice but poor song choices), Reggie 'N' Bollie (absolutely crap! o.O ) :/

BiB - We were one of the countries to give 12 points and contribute to that win, so your argument doesn't really stack up.

eurovision has been an 'alternative' type of show for years so the demographic of the voters between that and traditional Saturday night x factor is probably very different not just in their opinions but also in numbers

Then that comparison also applies to your post and you therefore cannot use that tosay we're 'lagging behind the rest of Europe'
i'm alternative?

@grimmers That was really tough tonight - there was NO WAY I would choose between any boys, they are my friends and I chose to let the public decide |

You start of comparing the results of Eurovision to UK XF to claim that we're 'lagging behind Europe'. When I point out that we gave 12 to Conchita Wurst and therefore the UK embraced her, you then say that it's not a valid comparison because the shows have different demographics, even though you made the comparison in the first place to support your conclusion.
It's either a valid comparison or it's not. Which is it? You decide! ![]() bib: doesnt conchita consider themselves a man? ![]() http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2015/05/16...a-trans-woman/ Quote:
On being confused with a trans woman, Wurst said “I am happy being a man in a dress.”

Can't some of you take your squabbling onto private posts. People over analyse these results. Mason is more contemporary, will appeal to young voters, Sean is more theatrical. I prefer Sean but don't vote because the show is too manipulated.
There are always shocks in the show, personally I think that Che is the dark horse who will probably win, not because of race or sexuality but because he is a really good singer. |

i think its very valid and imo emphasises the difference in demographics which serves to clarify my point about the difference in traditional uk saturday night voters and more progressive europeans (including that likely smaller uk voting group who see the wider picture of being european)
I don't disagree that on the whole the UK seems to be swinging against progressive ideas at the moment, and that's rather depressing. I just don't think you can draw any conclusions by comparing Eurovision and XF at all. |

But unless you have a similar example of a European XF voting someone like Seann further through the competition it's as invalid a comparison either here or in continental Europe.

What a load of crap. Dressing in a skirt and heels hardly makes Seann different. You're the only one treating him like he's different btw.

All this arguing over one of the worst X Factor contestants ever. He's repulsive he once again ruined A Song For You he should count himself lucky he made it to the live shows I wouldn't have put him through his audition.
