Anita was good but i didn't like the jive as a whole. Too much of Gleb doing handstands and street dancing. I think he is trying too hard.

It was one of my least favourite Anita & Gleb performances, tbh. I still love them but if anything, I thought they were a little over-marked this week compared to under-marked most other weeks. It's the first time I felt that Gleb's choreography wasn't solely about showing Anita off.

It was still a good, enjoyable dance - just not my fave of theirs. (I still voted for them though.)

She is my favourite but that wasn't my favourite dance of hers. Gleb is making it too much about him. When he leapt in the air and flung his crotch at her face I started laughing so much I missed whatever happened next. While I'm sure there are many people who would be thrilled if he did that to them I don't want to see it in a dance.

He needs to remember Anita is the star in their performance not him.

Little pocket rocket , great performer ,
After the show has finished the BBC need to give this gal a top job
She already has a good job with the BBC, she does countryfile on Sunday evenings (which I never miss) and also does some of The One Show.........she is a natural at presenting and will likely get much more work.

Like Anita a lot.

As an absolute beginner at dance she's improved an enormous amount - a journey (sorry)

She's some advantages - like many do one way or another - flexible, very fit and used to live TV so not as nervous.

I do hope she gets to the final

Unpopular opinion, but I thought that Jive was not that good. The kicks and flicks were almost non-existant and just like her other latin dances it was all about the energy she brought to it, rather then seeing most of the technical parts of those dances.

Out of the current candidates (still in the show), I would rate it alongside Jamelia's Jive and Georgia's Jive (and I much preferred Katie's Jive).

But perhaps I am turning blind and just do not see the great Jive content before me (or it's the fact I'm a straight male and Gleb specials only look like a circus act to me, who knows?).

I think that was quite deliberate. Her technique was definitely not there.

It was odd as I've felt they were under marked most weeks, this was my least favourite of theirs and I felt it was overmarked.
I thought the leap was too showoffy would be fine in a Showdance but thought it was too much and too try hard in the jive.

I think they make a great couple and she seems undermarked - but then I may be missing the technicalities that Gleb is supposedly lacking in.

I thought she was missing some pointy toes last night but otherwise excellent. Hope she makes the final.

I don't care what people say about Anita. The jive was great. For a total beginner to achieve this standard is no mean feat. I have two left feet and if I could achieve even one tenth of what this girl has achieved I'd be so happy. So maybe she is judged on the tremendous effort, progress and danceability she has achieved rather than having ringability which some of the ringers have.

I don't care what people say about Anita either, I agree with everything in your post. She has achieved the most as one of the beginners and it is a shame she won't win.

I hope she does then it will give SCD more credibility. I know they have to have some dancers who are good to watch and some who entertain but they also need novices who show progress and become a match for the ringers.
