1) Jay is a very capable dancer, but he needs to block out the media rumours about him and aliona so his performance can strengthen. Tonight he couldn't do that and although his performance was very good things stood in the way of it.

2) Peter and georgia both delivered fantastic routines and what Peter did warranted my votes tonight.

3) Anita is merging to be a contender now and scored higher than helen which was a nice surprise.

4) Bruno seems to be deteriorating as a judge week by week, the way he spoke about Jeremy was a disgrace.

5) I did notice some technical glitches during kellie and Kevins VT where it kept going off and on however that was sorted pretty readily.

1. Strategic marking. Peter too high and Katie too low.
2. Loved Georgia and Giovanni.
3. Jeremy continues to be terrific and he won all my 'phone votes.
4. I don't think Helen can do latin.
5. Better show than last week.

1. I generally loathe the Peter stomp, but tonight he was really good. If only they could stop him speaking I could warm to him given time.

2. Katie and Anton were under marked again. Yes she made mistakes but it was probably one of the most complex dances for a celebrity tonight, and there should be some recognition of this.

3. I really want to love Jay, I really do. I adored his jive but he lacks drive and performance and I always feel disappointed in his dances. Not because he's bad, but because he could absolutely shine if he could really live the dance like he did with the jive.

4. Underwhelmed by both Anita and Georgia who I normally look forward to.

5. Think Helen is possibly in trouble with dance off. I like her but the marks and unknown public support could be a killer. Although she'll get through a dance off I think it will destroy her confidence. She looked on the edge tonight.

1. Peter and Georgia really stepped up their game tonight and I'm very surprised but interested! I had Jay, Helen and Kellie as the top 3 so it's good they've come into it.

2. Pretty disappointed with Katie. It's frustrating to know how good she can be but her lack of skills in latin and mistakes tonight, I'm not as crazy for this couple anymore.

3. Very surprised at Helen. I thought she'd pull off a fabulous Rumba but lack of content and not really much going on, I'm not surprised she's on the bottom half of the leaderboard.

4. I really like Carol but after that performance, she's so noticeably the weak link. I do think her time should be up tonight.

5. All in all, a bit of a lackluster show really. A few good performances but then something about each couple makes me not fall in love with them. My favourite by far is Jeremy!

1) Great dance by Peter & Janette

2) Thought the short hair looked really good on Janette.

3) Jeremy didn't have a hope in hell of doing a straight tango with that music and staging - however, with Karen being so sick she had to miss a day of training & no doubt not being on top form on the other days either, it was probably just as well.

4) Strangely enough, I really enjoyed Anita & Gleb's dance again tonight (I glazed over everything they did up until last week's, which was also very good.)

5) I liked Helen's dance, but she really does need to unlock those hips a bit more if she wants to make the final (and I'd really like her to!). If they're going to go with the style of VTs they've been using - they should do a VT where they take her to bellydancing classes before her next latin!

Edited to add: A sneaky (6) Jay's AT suffered from the same problem most celeb males have doing the rhumba - he was too camp. You watch a really camp pro male do that dance and they'll be far more serious, intense, and sexy. Jay was too balletic and there was no oomph or personality there. In fact, there's no real character in most of his dances, so I don't enjoy them as much as less technically perfect work by others who DO act the number as well as dance it.

1) Nice of Janette to be dressed as Peter, Anita, Flavia and Demi Moore all at the same time.

2) Anton can't teach his partners. Full stop.

3) I really liked Anita's dance but I so wish that kind of score had gone to her American Smooth or Tango rather than her Jive. Still, it involved Gleb throwing his crotch at someone, it can't be that bad.

4) Kellie... er, Kellie... erm... Kellie's dress didn't look as bad as it could have done, I suppose?

5) You know those giant black boxes that fireworks shoot out of? They could make them a tad more subtle, couldn't they?

1) Peter was unexpectedly great. It deserved a ten although I'd have given a 9 myself.
2) Carol vs Jamelia or Katie for dance off based on tonight's performances, ok Jeremy was second worst to me but I think he's safe and he deserves another week.
3) I did not see Georgia's mistake on the show, nor did I see it as I watched it back on Sky plus, I'd have given a 10.
4) Most of the song choices tonight have been good.
5) It was for me, the best show of the series so far and MILES better than Halloween week.

With regard to number 2, in that case who taught her the jive, tango and Viennese Waltz?

I love Georgia, but I did see her mistakes. Still deserved her place on the leaderboard though, it was brilliant!

1. Helen's rumba just awful, no undulation and stiffness like a statue.
2. Kellie's dress - one of the worst cobbled together dresses ever.
3. Jay's AT is stunning watched in slow motion - such intensity.
4. Carol must go soon, just embarrassing bless her.
5. Well done to Jeremy, made me laugh.

1) Peter & Janette were faultless. Can he bring this level of dance performance to other dances?
2) Georgia & Giovanna. Amazing. Len and Bruno were absolutely correct - the acceleration from being seated to full on dancing was stunning. Georgia wobbled a bit so not faultless - but amazing.
3) Jay and Helen excellent posturing with some nice footwork / legwork but underwhelming. I thought Jay lacked content.
4) Jeremy can't dance. I give up on him. He gives it a go but his posture is all wrong.
5) Apart from Carol and Jeremy, both Katie and Jamelia are not developing as quickly as the others.

Judging by the mistake in her Tango, the timing error in her Viennese Waltz, the fact that 26 is the highest Anton's got for a Jive in years and the general rumours that he isn't all too involved in the training side of things... I'd say he got very lucky.

Hmm. A couple of slight mistakes in two stunning dances, the fact that over the years you mention regarding the jive his partners have been somewhat challenged, and rumours are the basis of the comment that Anton just can't teach "full stop".

Doesn't make sense I'm afraid.

They didn't execute what looked to be a wonderful routine tonight, that's certainly true, but anyone who has ever taught anyone anything our been taught anything by anyone knows that things go wrong sometimes.

Unless of course you "get lucky" all
the time and continuously produce marvellous stuff despite the evil teacher's best efforts at sabotage.

'Sometimes' would be fine but she's going wrong in practically every dance. And you don't think that's anything to do with his... ahem, chequered history? Really?

They're all going wrong in practically every dance. They are amateurs.
My issue was with the initial post, and the absolute annihilation of someone where clear evidence exists to the contrary, and which certainly didn't hint that going wrong "'sometimes' would be fine".

1. Peter was great and very deserving of being top of the leaderboard.
2. Janette looked a bit like Anita with that wig on!
3. Aljaz is a very attractive man, but I didn't really enjoy that rumba, and I usually like the less traditional ones.
4. Pasha has been great with Carol - I think having a duffer has really been good for him.
5. I'm sad that Jeremy is getting the Mark treatment of terrible songs and worse themes/costuming. He's really trying and although I'm glad he's clearly loving it, I think that's mostly about Karen making it such a great experience for him. Kudos to her as well for not only teaching him proper dancing but also pulling back so as not to make him look bad. She's doing a brilliant job this year.

Bonus 6 - I still have genuinely no idea who will win this year.

1. GGs Samba - dance of the night, best Samba since Denise Lewis ( maybe even better ) and unfortunately the little mishap gave the judges an excuse to mark it low

2. Andre - It was Ok, certainly in good sinc with Jeanette, but 10s?? Please. I'm sure he's got some compromising pics of Len stashed somewhere.

3. Didn't agree with Len about P.A but certainly did about Helen. Rhumba's not her dance at all.

4. Stage setting with totally OTT last night. Props, themes and other flim-flam is starting to overshadow the dancing.

5.Jeremy might be the 'joke' contestant but I've seen worse Tangos - a lot worse. He kept his legs bent throughout and his staccato was pretty good.

1. I can always tell if it was a good show if I want to watch dances again in the morning. Watched Georgia, Anita and Jay (but to see Aliona, as she was fantastic, those legs!).
2. Appreciate when judges give constructive comments, even when they disagree. Time for Bruno to go, missing what his value is now on the panel.
3. Peter's dance did not do it for me, and thought it was not THAT good. Just IMHO.
4. Love Claudia in the surgeon's gear! Hope all of them are feeling better soon, just finished the same cold myself.
5. Loved the Italian moment in the Claudiatorium.

1. Too many mistakes tonight from celebs, ? Due to difficult fast routines, pity

2. Enjoyed Peter's charleston but not quite as much as the judges and audience.

3. Too many props getting in the way.

4. Pleased for Jamelia, by far her best ballroom, hopefully enough to keep her out of the DDO

5. Carole, lovely lady but no improvement in her dancing since week one

And please stop making Jeremy the "joke" contestant. He's trying really hard and does not deserve the laughter from the Judges.
Bruno is being far too vicious in his comments this year

1. Janette should always have short hair - it looked great
2. Peter should have learned some additional Charleston faces other than just opening his mouth.
3. Couldn't concentrate Kellie's dance - spent the whole time thinking "what an awful dress"
4. Helen has legs like a Barbie Doll. And eyes.
5. Was very worried about the mop on the floor during Anita's dance.

1. Jay and Aliona seem to have lost the connection they had with the Jive.

2. Loved watching Helen's forced smile when Georgia was chatting to Claudia.

3. Anita is very, very good. I do hope she gets to the Final.

4. Sorry Carol, it's time to go.

5. Peter was good. I hope it doesn't go to his head.

1) Well done Peter...good dance and I think I spotted a deliberate attempt to spare us more of his thoughts>

2) Georgia over marked

3) Kellie and Helen...meh

4) Please let one of Carol, Jamelia or Katie hit the road this week.

5) Still loving Jezza

1) Pleased to see Anita getting some good comments at last
2) Thought Janette looked great in that wig
3) Helen doesn't look as if she's enjoying it
4) Loved seeing Judge Rinder in the audience, I'd love him to be on next year
5) Anton is morphing into Bruce & not in a good way

1) Loved GG, shame about the mistake. Giovanni is a great (if slightly sweaty) addition to the show.

2) The band and singers were fab-u-lous

3) Jay's performance storyline continues. Maybe I've been watching the show for too long and have seen the acting coach wheeled in too many times but I'm a bit weary of it all. I await Jay's breakthrough performance in the upcoming weeks.

4) Has the custard budget been cut? Aliona is looking very slender, get that woman some trifle!

5) Thoroughly enjoyed the show. The time flew by.
