Tristan McManus not wearing a poppy- why?
Why is Tristan McManus not wearing a poppy? Disrespectful as all the other celebs & dancers, judges & presenters are.

I noticed that too. It jarred, as everybody else was wearing one.

If Tristan doesn't want to wear a poppy then why should he? I don't give a stuff if someone chooses not to wear one. It shouldn't be compulsory, it should be a free choice.

Wearing a poppy is a choice, not an obligation. Not wearing a poppy does not necessarily equate to having no respect or compassion for those killed in war.

I find it quite amusing that people feel like someones being disrespectful if someone's not wearing a poppy on TV. Do you go up to people at work and berate them for not wearing one.
Why does this weird poppy rule only exist in TV land plenty of people not on TV don't wear them and life goes on. I think by now,in terms of TV, it's lost respect appeal anyway. It's quite clear the BBC just buy them in bulk and costume just stick them on without a seconds thought. Still,I suppose it's better than X-factor who just turn them into fashion statements. |

Somebody could give a very small amount and wear a poppy. Somebody else might give a fortune and just not choose to wear it.

I wasn't wearing a poppy whilst I was watching. I can cope with it.

I didn't wear a poppy whilst out yesterday (first year, mind) but two of my great uncles were killed in WW1,one on a Royal Navy ship, one in the Royal Artillery. |

Not mandatory to wear a poppy, it's personal choice IMHO.
