Worth remembering that under the current format, everybody will miss one dance. Unless a contestant has already done a dance on a previous special (i.e. Simon never did the cha-cha last year as he'd already done it for Christmas 2011), there doesn't seem to be any particular rhyme or reason to what dance they miss:

2014 - Pixie would have missed AT had she made it to the semi, Caroline missed VW, Frankie missed AS
2013 - Sophie missed Salsa, Patrick and Abbey missed AT, Susanna missed Rumba, Natalie missed Foxtrot
2011 - Jason missed Waltz, Chelsee missed VW (Harry couldn't do Paso because of CiN special)
2010 - Pamela missed Samba, Matt missed Waltz (Kara couldn't do Samba because of Sport Relief special)

Note that I've excluded 2012 because of the nightmarish fudging that occured towards the end of that series with the swingathon being replaced by dance fusion and the final changing from 3 to 4 couples at the last minute meant nobody did half the dances anyway.

The only thing we can take from that is that nobody's ever missed the Cha-Cha-Cha, Charleston, Jive, Paso, Quickstep or Tango unless they had to.

Just a quick thanks to you (and monkseal) for doing these incredibly informative lists of who did what and when, AND what each dancer has left to tackle . Working out statistics just jumbles my wee brain , so I love it when someone does the work for me .

Oh, and this is the last elimination before Blackpool so expect somebody either consistently towards the bottom of the leaderboard (Carol, Katie, Jeremy) or consistently in the dance-off (Jamelia) to have a VT about how much they want to get there.

From the results show - Georgia has the Charleston.

WOW, another good dance for her. I can see this scoring really, really well. She is really on a roll. Go Georgia.

It's to (I'm presuming a song from) Chicago, which I'd say narrows it down to either Hot Honey Rag, Me and My Baby or We Both Reached for the Gun.

Again from the results show - Helen and Aljaz have the Tango.

Has anyone noticed how we don't hear what Jay & Aliona are dancing and to what until the last moment ie, when they are announced Tuesday. Both Claudia and Jay had the perfect opportunity to ask/say what was his dance is next week on the results show but didn't. Their training vids are usually last on ITT too!

Yes and as a Jay and Aliona fan I find this really annoying; We are always the last ones to find out what they have; every week.


He could be in trouble next week. Jeremy will make it to Blackpool so it will be Jamelia against someone else in the dance-off. He is one of my earliest picks for shock bottom 2 next week. He will most likely be at the middle of the leaderboard with this dance.


Georgia and Helen are going to do VERY well with their dances.

I thought he'd get one of the waltz's as I'm convinced they've got him lined up to do Salsa at Blackpool.

So, if that is still the case this year then both Helen and Georgia will miss out on one of the ballroom dances. Georgia is already certain to miss one of them, as she only has the CCC and the Paso left in terms of latin dances (so, 50% chance each for the quarterfinal latin dance)

And agree that Peter is lined up for the Salsa in Blackpool (would be a great story for TPTB if he got in bottom two next weekend, is saved and then tops the leaderboard in Blackpool).

Annoyingly I think Charleston will be brilliant for Georgia. Plus it's hard to mess up Charleston choreography so Gio will actually do a good job as well.

Tango will be very good for Helen and Aljaz, and like Georgia's Quickstep after her Rumba, I expect Aljaz to have brilliant content and a strong Tamgo song.

Peter doing a Waltz I expect to go down like a lead balloon with the fans, especially when compared to Katie's earlier in the series, ergo he'll score very highly with the judges so he avoids the d/o.

Yeah, she was lucky to have this draw (could have easily been a dreary foxtrot). Should keep her momentum going.

Only problem might be the lifts (see the salsa).


Should be good, her supposed stiffness is an asset in this dance. Hope that they get some help from make-up and wardrobe like Anita did for her Tango (and don´t get shot down like for instance SEB´s theme two years ago in the quarters).

One downside is that there is chance we won´t get to see either her AS or VW (if there is a shock result next week or in Blackpool).



I´ve been wrong before on that front, but I can´t seem him scoring that high with a VW. Based on the 4 revealed dances so far, without any training footage, he would only rank in 3rd place (with most of the contenders still to be revealed).

I suspect that helen will smash it in the tango , those long legs and her ballet background could be assets . Hip movements should be manageable since it's more about leg movement . I'm an expert .
Peter should do a passable waltz . I don't think the footwork will be a big issue for him but he will need to get those shoulders under control .
Georgia doing charleston will be fabulous . She'll need to work on the lifts though , to maintain the flow of the routine . She tends to be sloppy in the lifts . I can see her or helen topping the leaderboard next week .
