Completely agree ! The judges complain if basic moves aren't included. Jay & Alionas Argentine Tango got the treatment from the judges.
I love the samba roll. It's rarely done properly by celebs but it's beautiful. I know Kellie was in the dance off but I love her footwork in the slower dances!”

Her footwork did look quite good.

Peter had the dance of the week but he's 4th in this poll.
Jay will most likely always top this poll until the finals 😂😂😂. If I'm not mistaken, he still topped the poll with his quickstep 😂😂

Interestingly the bottom two is almost the same as in the show with Carol bottom and Kellie/Katie tied for second from bottom (at time of typing this anyway!).

Tbh I'm surprised he has so many votes. Was under the impression he was really disliked on the forum by most.

Peter produced a fairly good routine so I'm not surprised to see him as the top 4th. I can dislike someone ( I don't btw ) and still give them their props when necessary. I would assume that a lot of people who are not necessarily fans of him think this way. I've seen a lot of people , some who are Jay fans say that Peter had the best dance over the weekend. I don't think his position in that poll is necessarily an indication of his popularity.

Uhmmmm...interesting indeed. I'm surprised to see Katie so low on that poll especially because she seems to have a lot of fans on DS. Or maybe they don't vote.

There's vocal minorities on both sides of the Jay debate - those who love him and won't have a word said against him and those who dislike him and won't pass up an opportunity to drop in a snide comment.

I'd say "most" (as there's no such thing really just impressions of what people think overall) people on the forums don't have such extremes and one week they might like his routine the best and another week it'll be someone else.

Every year there's been a couple of contestants who've polarised views, it'd be boring and not SCD if there weren't

Or did you mean Peter? In which case I'd say he's not very popular on DS no but I think "most" people are capable of separating the dance routine from the personal life of the person performing it and appreciating it accordingly.

I might look into this type of thread after the show to see who has gained in popularity and who is in danger...but not to see who's topping the poll. Even If Jay had a dreadful dance and one of the other celebs did the best dance the series has ever seen, its obvious Jay would still be on top. I think its a bit pointless tbh having a weekly 'who's your favourite' as its not going to change much. A weekly 'what was the best dance' might produce a little bit of variance from week to week (though again, I supsect Jay will win the best dance award regardless of whether it was the best dance or not)

Peter and Janette by a country mile.

An astounding routine brilliantly executed by P&J. He was asked to up his game and answered the call in spades. I'm not his greatest fan but credit where credit's due - regardless.

Kudos to the ever-improving Georgia and Giovanni who came in second for me with Jay and Aliona in third. He was good (minus his face) but I feel Aliona did not make the most of neither the routine nor Jay. She could (and should) have got so much more out of someone with his ability. Flavia would have "killed" the AT had she been his partner

Meant Peter ... Saying that he has 13% of the votes this week compared to only 3% last week so perhaps you're right in saying people are capable of separating the dance from the persona.

I dislike the Charleston intensely so it would never get my vote regardless of who or how well someone danced it.

I think there is room for minor changes in percentages from week to week among some couples, but Jay is always going to top this poll regardless of music, dance or performance on the night

Georgia was by far the best dancer tonight as echoed by her receiving 3 ten's!

Well done Georgia
