Excluding live week, the BBC Store currently has every episode of EE since August 2014 available for individual purchase. How do we all feel about this?

Personally, i'm a little let down - I purchased an episode and it is exactly the same quality as the iPlayer. I was hoping for an upgrade to 1080i HD. Unfortunately not. I often wish iTunes would get EE and then I could purchase a pass and keep the episodes.

I am not gong to pretend to know what the bbc store is or why you think the quality would be better but if you purchase them are they not to keep?

Awe I was hoping that all episodes from 1985 were available for purchase

Yes you can keep them. They're just not much of an improvement. And they also have that annoying BBC logo in the corner.

And apparently they will be "Expanding their archive" so there probably will be older years available.

I'm glad that they have done this. I usually find sites to download my favourite episodes, but it will be nice to have somewhere official to get the eps that I can't find.

I'd rather a Netflix style service where you pay a small fee monthly and you have access to all EE episodes. Could actually start watching from the beginning in 85 then! Right now £1.89 an episode is just too expensive..

The only recent ones I would consider purchasing is live week, so that's a shame they aren't available

And here was me thinking we already paid for them with the licence fee?

Need older episodes. Nothing since 2010 has been worth a penny of my money!

I might consider it if it was a monthly fee subscription service and the episodes started from further back.

I hope they put Den's return week up there.

Same here

They have tons of great stuff on there apart from EE but i don't agree with paying either per episode or per season. They should of done it similar to Netflix and have a subscription for each month. I would happily pay.

Aww, I wish they had stuff from further back, there are definitely some episodes I would love to rewatch and big episodes I was too young for I'd love to see for the first time.

I agree with the above poster, though- they should have a subscription fee; I'd be happy to pay that.

They should allow them to be streamed instead of purchasing each one separately. How many people are going to fork over cash for that? There are only about 5 episodes since 2014 I'd consider watching again. You'd think they'd begin at the first episode and work their way forwards but apparently not. Give us Den and Ang, Pauline and Arthur, Michelle, Pat and Frank and the other oldies. We can see the 2014 cast for free 4 times a week already.

I have some ripped from DailyMotion but I'm totally going to buy the whole who killed lucy story

£1.89 PER episode? No thanks. I'd consider it if a tenner bought you a chunk of like 50 eps in HD quality, especially classic episodes. But that's a total rip-off.

I doubt I will ever watch that again. It doesn't have much re-watch value.

the fully live episode was good.

I really like this idea. I would certainly think about Live Week.

I do however feel that the price per episode is quite pricey if someone were to be downloading months or even years worth. There should be a special 'monthly' price - either £10 for a month of episodes or 99p per single ep.

It would be nice to build your own 'Classic Episodes' collection seeing as BBC wont release any EastEnders DVDs.

I wouldn't really be interested in anything after 2005, and the individual eps are a bit pricey but I'd be tempted to buy if they add the right episodes.

Using that argument, every VHS and DVD release of BBC material should have been given away free or sold at a greatly reduced price because "we already paid for them with the licence fee". Piffle.
