Well that was dire, should have had Reece Shearsmith write the episode and Mark Gatiss act in it instead.

I wonder which bits of The League of Gentleman Gatiss actually wrote?

None of his Dr Who episodes have had that very black humour and he seems too PC to have written jokes about a transsexual taxi driver for example.

The doctor was right, this makes no sense at all, so many questions

That was brilliant. Far better example of the 'base under siege' episode than Whithouse wrote and actually quite scary. The ending was utterly brilliant. Music was wonderfully understated and the found footage conceit wasnt at all obstructive, Im a sucker for found footage anyway but my goodness that was a joy.

That was...not good. Worst Capaldi episode by far. Just generic Doctor Who by the numbers.

The last two minutes were good. Unfortunately it felt rather like Gatiss had the idea for the end and backwards engineered it. The previous 40 odd minutes were incredibly dull with a moronic premise. I mean, there's 'suspension of disbelief' and then there's 'your eye crust has become carnivorous and is going to eat you'.

Well that was quite frankly one of the most rubbishy episodes in quite some time. A rather bland plot filled with one-note characters, a plot that made little to no sense and a ending that barely exists. Just terrible.

Was there any significance to the lack of opening titles apart from the semi-found footage conceit?

Gatiss succeeds once again... in boring me to tears. Will this man EVER make a good episode of Who?

Actually I quite liked Cold War. That was probably more down to the Ice Warrior than anything. The story basically fell apart after the long Clara scene.

Well he did warn us not to watch it lol.

I have really liked Series 9 so far, but really struggled with that episode.
