I've started using the forum on a new phone (z5c) and was surprised that it is no longer using the mobile layout. Instead it appears to be using the desktop layout. On my z3c it always displayed in mobile layout.

Can anyone tell me how to change it?
The phone is not set to request desktop site in chrome.

DS is such a pain to get right on mobile and tablets, every time I change my device I have trouble with it, on my lg G4 I had to stop using my beloved opera browser as it just wouldn't format properly or load pages correctly..
This might help solve your problem though:
Scroll down to the bottom of the page,
Look at the last comment posted, or under the left hand side of the text box
Under that there should be a grey bar with digital Spy written in with an arrow after it which indicates it's a drop down menu.
Click on this and a menu inside should open with the mobile forum option.
Hope this helps

They're different because the first one is the mobile site and the second is the desktop site.
As jaffboy151 has said, just use the drop down box bottom left where you can change between the two.

Perfect! I had tried all the possible m.digitalspy.co.uk/m etc. I never would have noticed that drop down without your help. Thank you!

When will they sort it so you can subscribe to a thread on the mobile style?

Why no app?
This is a pretty big forum, lots of members, surely warrants an app!?

That's been discussed before and the company won't entertain the idea because the most common app (and arguably the best) is Tapatalk, but wouldn't allow Hearst to embed loads of adverts and tracking code on each page.

The mobile skin is the best we can ever hope for. To be fair, it's pretty good but not handling subscriptions is a PITA.

I personally don't like the mobile version as I just don't find it as user friendly as the desktop version, especially with easily seeing if there's been new replies to posts or not without having to open the thread.

which is why I don't hang around here much. Other sites I use have embraced tapatalk.
