During her fitst time on EE I used to love Stacey. She always had her faults but there was something about her that was very watchable and had me rooting for her in spite of her flaws. I think she's lost whatever that quality was. Lacey Turner doesnt seem as good in the role anymore. That's my issue with her much more than her unlikeability, she just doesn't hold my attention the way she used to. Stacey was once a stand out character but now she's kind of boring.

Agree that she's also a contemptible bitch in this story. As for her being portrayed favourably, I think they might be over estimating her current popularity and think she can behave however she likes and people will still root for her. Trouble is she's nowhere near as popular as she was six years ago and I don't think they realise that.

I can't believe she had the audacity to shout and throw Shabnam out after evrything shes done to her I agree with everyone though shes nasty peice of work shes horrible and spiteful to everyone.

I've been saying Stacey is a nasty cow for years. DTC hoodwinked me when he made her a bit nicer last year. Sure enough she reverted to type because at heart the character is a destructive selfish cold hearted bitch. I don't know how anyone can root for her. She has no redeeming qualities. She's not even a camp humourous bitch like Janine. She's a just a moody self righteous slapper with a face like a slapped arse. The fact the writers expect us to be on her side baffles me. She deserved everything she got from Janine back in 2010. At least Janine owns the fact she's a bitch and doesn't expect everyone to feel sorry for her like Stacey does.

Martin and Kush are shit but so are all the Slaters including Kat (who used to be good). Lynn and Little Mo were a good cure for insomnia and Zoe was an airhead. I don't think Charlie and Big Mo had a decent storyline between them the whole time they were on the show and Jean went from being bipolar to mentally challenged. Awful family IMO.

Can't stand Stacey and never have done. She has always been an uber bitch that turns on the woe is me act and water works if anyone challenges her. She's a shit friend and partner. She treats Martin with contempt and Shabnam like she should be grateful that she is her friend. Her only saving grace if you can cal it that is she is a Slater and acts exactly like one, entitled.

Oh, I think Kat's fab. Jessie Wallace is one of the most watchable actors EE has. I'm really looking forward to Kat's return, EE needs an injection of more charisma and she's great when there's some proper drama for her to sink her teeth into. The epic convent episode was my favourite since live week and I can't wait for the follow up.

I loathed Stacey by the time she left in 2010-she was a self righteous hypocritical entitled little madam. I reluctantly invested in her last year to my own surprise but now she's become totally unlikeable and has crossed a red line, for me she's ruined and I'm disinvested in her.

Strange thing is I suspect in the Elstree writers bubble were expected to be sympathetic and root for Stacey.

even though Stacey is not likeable I don't think she should be axed because that would mean losing Lacey Turner and Lacey is one of the best actresses on the show. Sharon was redeemed after having an affair with Phil while married to Grant.

There was a good reason Sharon fell for Phil - at the time he was the nicer, softer, gentler brother and Grant was a thug. Phil's decline into Philth began when the affair was discovered (who will ever forget Sharongate) and Phil immediately lied to cover his own arse and blamed Sharon for everything when it was verty much a two-way street. And to think the silly woman is married to that scumbag now

Stacey just sleeps with who she likes when she likes it and does not care who gets hurt or how many families get broken up as a result. As long as she is happy, that's all that counts.

Sharon didn't need to be redeemed from that. The entire square treated her like shit and she had to leg it to America, losing her home and business in the process. Lest we forget Grant slapped her around and terrorized her before she went near Phil and only after Grant had been locked up in prison for hitting Sharon. Context is everything

But Stacey being unlike-able doesn't mean she should be axed. Stacey can be redeemed. They should show more scenes of Stacey being a mum.

I didn't say she should be axed. The actress should quit and wait for a better opportunity to return. She came back too soon and is going over old ground.

I haven't liked her ever since she killed the old man.

And allowing her dead husband to be blamed in death.
