Just saying that some professionals look like they've had better days on the show, wonder what you think the chances of Brendan moving on from SCD are? He is to me on borrowed time and his choreography doesn't IMHO have the pizzazz like it used to.

I think he should move on, he has potential to create his own dancing school and other projects.

Strictly need younger hungry pro dancers. Brendan has outstayed his welcome and in danger of becoming the guy everyone wishes left years ago..

Unfortunately BBC have been too lazy to let him go, like they were with Sir Bruce Forsyth. Or whether it's BBC politics that has kept Brendan on the show, anton could quite easily move on. Just had a thought that if that happened Trent could return along with Robin.

Judging from the sheer volume of other reality/game shows Brenda has done over the years (and continues to do) I doubt he's in any hurry to step back out of the limelight, and Strictly's the main part of what keeps him there.

Speak for yourself. Not all of us get off on a succession of young Eastern European men, each more interested in showcasing themselves rather than their partners.

Brendan is still a favourite with many of us who don't eternally crave the new and who appreciate graceful elegant dancing choc-full with personality and charisma.

He does look old though and a bit passed it.

Leave Brendan alone ! He,along with Anton, is Strictly Come Dancing!
Brendan still does beautiful choreography & has enthusium for Strictly.
He also still does both amazing ballroom & latin.I'd like to see him as a judge on Strictly someday,i think it's some them that need replacing!

I think Brendan and Anton will be safe in their jobs as long as older female celeb's are recruited. Carol only got Pasha because he won last year, otherwise she'd have been with Anton.
Look at the Rumba, it's quite cringy with too much of an age gap.

I don't mind Brendan but I think his performance last year was shocking. He looked bored, out of shape and disinterested, at least this year he appeared (pretended?) to have an interest in Kirsty and the show. I have a feeling it might be his last year though.

He couldn't imagine life without Strictly

I do believe that he and Anton have a pact to finish at the same time. While both have been surpassed by the hot young things from Eastern Europe (and Grimsby) I think they both still have a roll to play on the show for another few years. Plus as the only remaining pro's to appear in every series they do provide a nice bit of continuity each year (much as I suspect Ola and Kristina are both retained for continuity with the female pro's)

I pray that his chances of moving on are high.

Brendan doesn't need to move on anywhere. He is in very good shape, he does excellent choreography and is great at both ballroom and latin. I would hate Strictly to only have young male pros who want all the attention on themselves. Brendan always puts his partners first. Also, they need someone a bit older for some of the ladies who are not so young.

I would love to see Kevin gone, I never thought ITT 2 could get worse but ...up pops the Clinton sister

Brendan got a lot of stick for last year but he gave Sunetra two beautiful ballroom dances, the sort of dances that celebs want when they sign up. In a similar vein, I'm guessing Brendan's fate will be decided by any feedback the producers get from Kirsty Gallagher. If Kirsty enjoyed her time with Brendan then he probably gets at least another year.

To be honest, if Brendan's time on the show depended on feedback on whether his partners had enjoyed themselves with him he would have gone after Series 2. Or 3. Or 4. Or 9. Or 10...

I was impressed that he turned up at the start of this Series looking fit and motivated.

I don't mind Brendan and I agree with previous comments that the show needs a mix of pros of different ages. I think Brendan relies heavily on Strictly to give him exposure which helps sell tickets for his tour so I would imagine he'll stick around for as long as the producers will have him.

The chances are VERY high . He is looking more tired of late . I also think he has got a bit podgy . Of course he isn't podgy as such , but for a pro dancer I'm afraid he is . On the night he pushed forward beside gleb in the clauditorium to showcase his physique (messing about . I think ) there simply was no comparison .
His attitude seems off too . Might be because of his partner , though he claims not of course , but something is missing . Not as sparky as he used to be . Catching up to anton re sell by dates (though I do like anton).

Yep as Erin posted above the chances of him moving on voluntarily are nil. His wife joked he would be there til beeb bosses push him out the door. So in all likelihood he will do a Brucie rather than leave of his own accord.

Strictly is the best shop window for anyone who wants to work as a dancer in the UK so I suspect he will stay until his contract isn't renewed.

Probably so . I'm of the opinion that anton will leave next year and brendan will then be the oldest one among the pro males . That fact tends to put a target on your back . It also gets you the duffers a lot of the time , which brendan will hate .
