If it is always going to go to deadlock in this situation why have a sing off - why not send the 2nd bottom home with the bottom, and put the 3rd bottom through automatically. The whole point of a sing off is to give the 2nd and 3rd bottom another chance to impress the other judges, and that did not happen tonight. (whoever is in the sing off is always going to have their own mentors back anyway, or should have). As the person who got 2 votes was sent home and the person with one vote stayed. You can't count Nicks vote in that instance, as he could not vote fairly.”

He was in a very awkward position though no matter how you look at it. How fair it was for him to vote when it was 2:1 in favour of Seann is irrelevant, the fact is that they asked him anyway because that's the format of the show. If at that point he'd said he abstained, it would have been the exact same thing as sending Mason home, which he made clear he didn't want to do to either of his acts. The most objectively neutral thing he could do in that situation was send it to deadlock, so he did.

why have a sing off then. why not just send the 2nd bottom home right away. they do send the bottom home with no second chances.

probably not Its only the top 8. Sometimes number 9 gets in if there is a controversial decision, but there are already 9 left.

Amazing in what way?when he was rude and disrespectful?when he sang Robin Thicke very badly? or when his intonation was poor in the sing off?
Crumbs who needs a second rate Chris Brown ,utterly dreadful but they had to keep, him because they brought him back, ridiculous decision

LGBT people are discriminated against enough without getting that from one of their own. Where are your balls Grimmers, you could have at least abstained. Your fellow judges (the allegedly straight two) voted 2 to 1 to keep Seann.”

So much for equality, they leaves any act who isn't LGBT at a disadvantage. What a ridiculous comment.

Interesting. I did get that impression of him in the six chair challenge.

Do we have any reason to think that Nick is so fond of Mason he'd try and fix the vote for him when he was also up against another one of his own acts?

And if this was the case it also suggests he knew who was going to go when it went to deadlock otherwise he'd have to have asked Cheryl or Simon to vote that way too to ensure Mason's safety.

Personally I think Rita didn't want to be the one to make the call so she passed the decision over to Nick knowing he'd take it to deadlock.

You don't need to apologize as we all get angry/upset with reality tv results sometimes. Sean's elimination was a disgrace but the public need to take the most blame for not voting him through and Rita should not have saved Mason.
