X-Factor's desperation for viewers

anything for ratings (ROLLEYES) their hatchet job on Anton & Monica last night didn't work, but they still wanted a shock, so they send Sean home PATHETIC, this show is a FARCE

It's also a non-shock as the result was exceedinly predictable. It was just a question as to who out of Cheryl, Simon and Rita had to look like the d!ck of the week by sending home the better act.

The duty fell to Rita this week

Are you sure this will help ratings? Seems like it would do the opposite.

I've said from the start, the winner of X Factor 2015 will be a bland male singer. So take your pick - Anton? Max? Che? Mason?

The winner is in the above list. You have been warned.

(I still think the final 2 will be Anton Vs Mason)

It's too late, the public have seen through the bullshit and it no longer fools anyone.

When you focus too much on the ratings and start to change things too much... Ratings go down... Focus on the show and the ratings will follow...

Che will win - bland, male, unmarketable

Pretty much this. The public at large who don't watch aren't going to see this in tabloid headlines and say "Hmm, so much controversy around this X Factor business maybe I'll give it a look". More likely they'll just look, say "Oh, X Factor nonsense. That time of year again," roll their eyes and move on.

All this is going to do is annoy the people already watching.

correction two > looks & personality, we might as well vote a Potato to win (ROLLEYES/SARCASTIC)

Sad that it has to be a factor really. He's got a fantastic voice and he seems sweet. But no doubt some smug, pretty bad-boy no-talent tosser like Mason will win. Because that's what the public wants, sadly.

Dumb thread as losing him won't bring in big ratings. Did Seann supporters even bother to vote?

If they wanted ratings, they would have kept him and started some backstage arguments and leak that to the media to create some controversy, but they went the very PC route where in previous years Simon would have ripped Seann's dress sense apart.

Outside his small contingent of hardcore supporters, clearly Seann didn't have much support, most people probably saw him as an attention seeker with his silly dress sense. Glad he's gone, won't be missed, he'll be forgotten by next week.

Thought I would be on the furious that Seann's gone bandwagon, but truth is I don't really care

We all know Seann will get work out of this, whether it be Eurovision, other RTV shows or in the theatre

Most knew Grimshaw would conveniently chicken out of his first major lives decision

Just tough to call who will be runner up to Louisa now, as she's probably going to run away with this because like in CBB and BB production just can't help but interfere and it's blown up in their faces

James Arthur won and he was less good looking than Che.

And he loathed DS forum members as well, calling us all losers and that we should all be locked up

Che is multiple times more marketable than Seann as Che can actually sing amazingly well, he doesn't need to come out in lipstick and a frock to be "marketable" in fact, that's probably done the opposite for Seann in terms of marketability; it won't help him be mainstream, maybe just the club scene.
