is a ridiculous decision - he was one of the only ones who could provide entertainment.

Sean could have bounced back from being in the bottom 2 - whilst Mason will probably be in the bottom 2 every week now until he leaves.

He was my least favourite. ( Seann )

One of the most bizarre results in the history of X factor Id say.

It's a flaw of the 'everyone starts at the bottom' voting system. Good acts often go because people assume they're safe and vote for other artists who they think might not be.

All it is is proof that Mason is a 'chosen one'. He won't go for weeks.

Also its funny how Rita has been Seans biggest fan on the show - yet sends him home :s

Do the producers really expect us to believe that the judges decide who goes home - surely to make it more realistic they could have made Simon send Sean home..Whilst Rita sent Mason home

Where are they meant to start...?

I put all my votes Anton's way because they tried to humiliate him..... Otherwise Seann would have had my votes , I assumed he was safe. I suspect that may have been a factor in the wider vote

Honestly they don't even seem to attempt to make it realistic these days!

He was just too different for the GBP who prefer acts like Ben much more.

They are going to drag Mason as far as they possibly can. The whole farce at 6 chair challenge proved they had big plans for him this year. He will be saved against anybody but their beloved Reggie n Bollie.

A result like this just makes me baffled at the Great British Public. An act like Seann only makes it to week 2 here in 2015 while in America, a country many would say is much more into its 'family values', over five years ago, an act like Adam Lambert can go all the way to the final.

It's definitely a shock. I thought he was a chosen one, or at least regarded higher than Mason.

I have never understood that viewpoint....assuming someone is safe. if you think someone is the best singer surely you vote for them?

Did you think Anton was a better singer than seann?

Blame the British public.I think deadlock was the right decision tbh.Sean is a good singer but the show is moving towards being a type of artist.Mason has more identity as an artist.

It's natural though to do this. Everyone wants their vote to count and it's more appealing voting for someone you think might be in the bottom two rather than be one of 150,000 other people voting for the best act of the week.

One less reason to watch. Two left now.

I blame Tom Bleasby for all of this

I think Sean might have lost out due to the reason above, I cant vote but if I did, I would have given my votes to Max who I thought would need them. Its such a pity as I think he had so much talent.

They see him as male fleur/chris brown type - its all about the marketing and Simon has a gap for a male act like that. He will at least be on the tour.

Good point. I wish we had seen Sean be a bit less safe like Adam was - sometimes he felt a bit too Diva like where I felt he would ahve shone if he ad rocked it up a little more - oh well wont get to see it now

It's only a shock in you live in the X Factor bubble. Seann was never going to win X Factor but admittedly, I thought he'd finish around 5th or maybe 6th.

At the end of the day he was a man dressing like a woman and not bothering to shave his legs. The British public who watch X Factor are pretty conservative. That's why we get the usual type of male winners.
