I don't know a thing about Series 9 apart from what has already been broadcast.
Killed?

Zero chance they'll kill her off in my 'umble opinion.

Isn't it already established that she's going to be killed?

Oh they've teased it plenty. But I doubt Steven 'everybody lives' Moffat will go through with it, and I'm not sure the BBC would even allow it. Not in the Big Finish style of a scene where the companion is simply exterminated and that's the end of it in any case. (Eighth Doctor is really unlucky for that!)

Something timey wimey/bootstrap paradox coming up no doubt.

I kind of agree but I really hope they do kill her off. No claiming she's going to die then dropping her in a parallel Earth (still not forgiven RTD for that cop-out), no dropping her in the past and claiming the Doctor cannot ever go there for some reason (still not forgiven Moffat for that cop-out ), kill her off. Dead, the end, this Clara is dead, an ex-Clara.

I like Clara, I don't hate the character at all but the series is long overdue another demostration of just how dangerous travelling with the Doctor can be. The audience has become complacent, danger in the show doesn't feel dangerous unless there's consequences.

It's really time for Clara to "pull an Adric" and get herself blown up or something

Probably in dedicated spoiler threads, yes. But I wouldn't know as I never really venture in them when until a series has finished for a retrospective looks and then fall away from them when the real facts start to come in during the 4 month lead-up to a new series.
I've read and heard that Jenna wanted to leave and that she has now filmed her final scenes but that's as far as I, as a spoilerphobe would like to know.

Of course if she's really dead, who is this waitress on the cover of DW magazine?

Lets just hope The Doctor and Clara will have the courage to Face the Raven.

It would be nice if we could have a companion who ended on a good note for a change. Modern Who has become too reliant on "shock" endings IMO.

It's hard to tell what qualifies as a 'good' ending. Travelling in the Tardis changes you, it's really difficult to set up a character arc where going back to a 'normal' life is seen as a win.
be more pacific

To be fair, there hasn't been a proper permanent death of a regular character outside of Torchwood. It's always "Ah, you won't be able to see me again due to reasons."

The Raven is usually the harbinger of death, rather than the means.

Martha got a happy ending when she left The Doctor at first it didn't seem like it but obviously over time she got the man of her dreams and the life of adventure she loved with The Doctor aswell as getting UNIT pushing her papers through and making her an actual Doctor plus when she left the TARDiS she got the happiest ending of them all, being with her family. Martha is my favourite companion along side Donna and Amy.

Also we all saw throughout series 3 that she will leave of her own accord.

There wasn't much point in avoiding it after the title of the thread let the cat out of the bag.

Never mind, it's done now but thank you for the apology anyway. Just be a little more careful in naming threads (or bringing up a topic that could go easily go into the Spoiler section) and mindful to those whom wish to stay away from spoilers, even if the thread alludes to something spoilery.

PC said you think you know whats going happen...than something different happens in FTR

I'm thinking it's actually going to be Rigsby that dies at Clara's hands, sacrificing him to save the Doctor or the greater good. And the Doctor will probably realised she's gone too far in becoming like him. And more poignant, because in the first episode with Rigsby, Clara wouldn't allow him to sacrifice himself on the train. And at that point he'll realise it's not good for her to keep travelling with him and want to give her a different/better life?
