capaldi to guest on graham norton show

It appears that Peter Capaldi will be one of Graham Norton's guests on the Friday 20 November show - just in time for the anniversary...
I wonder if Graham will ask anything awkward about ratings or the planning of the next season? I expect not, as it'll probably be the usual Norton fluffy nonsense.
Other guests that night are scheduled to be David Walliams and Tom Hanks.

Incidentally, Benedict Cumberbatch will be a guest the following week 27/11/15.

Probably because as a journalist its his job to address the wreckage that is Series nine ratings and the overall crisis inwhich the show currently finds itself.

He has too much integrity to be buddy buddy to keep big names coming on and avoid asking the tough questions.

Patience will be rewarded.

Eventually BBC will publicly announce they have made a mess of things.

You have got to be extracting the michael

No-one, not even his most fervent admirer would ever make the mistake of calling Norton a journalist... he's a fluffy light entertainment presenter

He'll probably ask about Jenna Coleman leaving, who Peter would like to see replace her and then joke about the couple of times he inadvertently interrupted Doctor Who.

Surely you are joking? I mean, have you ever seen the Graham Norton Show? His whole rationale is to be buddy buddy to the big names, to smarm and grovel as much as humanly possible so the Big Names will come on his light as a feather entertainment show. And he's very good at that and his show is rightly very successful.
Intergrity as a journalist? Blimey, he's not fronting Newsnight or Panorama!

I merely wondered out loud if he might mention the ratings because that's what everyone here seems obsessed with. I don't genuinely think he will. As Verence says, it'll be all Who would make a cute Companion? type questions and a few double entendres. Probably quite funny too.

Hopefully it'll be typically hard hitting and rigorous journalism that Norton is renowned for that will get to the nub and gist of this terrible crisis we Who fans are facing. (should've given Norton the Paxman job. He does not rest until he gets to the truth. Well said, Warjacket.)

ETA Might hear something of interest, being serious. Even if it's only how long it is before PC returns to filming. May seems the favourite so far, but I don't expect anything official for a while as, whilst we obsess a bit about the future, there are still 5 episodes to be shown in 2016. That's quite rightly what the BBC should be focusing on at the moment.
