Gail:
"Do you know? There's folk in the cemetery not had as good a night's sleep as I've had in there."
"I thought I might feel it being on my own but I'll never feel lonely in that little annex."

Tracy:
"Mam's not even cold yet and you're cheating on her all over again!"
"Nessa? More like Nessie, I mean look at her!"
"Save your excuses for yourself, you hearse-chasing old slapper!"



Some brilliant dialogue tonight. Really hooted. This is what I love about Corrie, it's the writing!

I also loved Emily and Rita talking about getting a card for Gail.

Emily (looking at cards): "'A new home' doesn't quite feel right. 'Congratulations'?"
Rita: "On moving into your old garage?"
Emily: "I suppose you're right. Perhaps I'll just write something appropriate into one of the blank ones."

Please more of this!

Agree. The writing is essential to the show, it was always the reason why we all love Blanche's scenes and then later Deirdre's scenes as the writing was usually good as they were great characters.

Unfortunately these days there are so many characters that we couldn't give a jot about and these lines are few and far between, Gail, Sally, Tim and Tracy are the few exceptions and they get the good lines.

Let's hope the new broom in the new year can bring Corrie back to how it used to be, not to much sensationalism but get some decent writers on board and some decent storylines.
