I don't know if you realise, but at the top of this board is a subforum for Appreciation threads, where posters can post about couples they like. Only positive posts are allowed and the thread for Peter & Janette is here.

In this part of the forum posters can say what they like as long as they don't break the T&Cs.

Well, I like Jay (and Anita and Jeremy) but don't dislike Peter, he seems OK to me, just a bit too 'show businessy'

Think the tabloids are stirring things up to sell newspapers.

Don't think Jay and Peter have fallen out at all - the tabloids have made it up.

As Jay was coming up the stairs after the AT, he caught Peter's eye and smiled and nodded. Peter was clapping and smiling. Nothing scripted - just 2 blokes acknowledging each other.

The X-Factor isn't as popular, so the tabloids are trying to attract some of Strictly' 10 million viewers.

Surely this is a discussion board, not a "reply to only the threads I like" board?

I often get the most from people who feel differently from me, I already know how people with the same opinions as me feel, I like to read how others are feeling and give my replies. As long as the replies are respectful, have a good dose of humour and don't break t & c I don't see the problem

For example, I'm softening towards Kellie purely because others have said how hard-working she is and how she gives it a blooming good try every week without complaint. I wouldn't get that if I only popped into threads attacking Kellie.

I'm not attacking you, I'm just explaining why I like threads where all opinions are heard.

Not in this case (peter andre) . I posted in his app thread twice in the first weeks and thereafter I had "well YOU are a peter andre fan !" thrown at me every time I dared criticise anyone else . I also posted in the Daniel app thread , the jeremy thread, the anton and possibly another , but none of those were picked up on , just the peter andre comments .
I know nothing of the man's history nor do I care, unless he murdered someone . I like him . I like kellie, I like anita , I like kanton and I like jeremy . All of whom I've posted positively about but only the peter andre like has drawn fire . It's the oddest thing I've ever seen on here .

Well, I made the comment as the poster was hoping for this to be an upbeat Peter thread. I think my comment was relevant in that the appreciation sub-forum would be a better place, as to avoid any negative comments.

I was replying to your second comment not your first, but if I misunderstood your intent, I apologise

Well, I think the two comments are related.

The second comment was to let the poster know that it's unlikely in this area of the forum that people will be able to keep quiet if they have nothing nice to say, since they were hoping for an upbeat thread.

I'm not sure what intent you inferred, but no harm done

There will always be upbeat comments about Peter Twinkle toes, he is such a genuine and nice guy, it puzzles me that there are a few who do not seem to see this.
