Going to anger a lot of people on this forum...
I don't think Charleine was as bad as most are saying her to be. Reasons:
1) She was criticised for not listening to her team - even though she did. In the initial discussions, the team wanted the bee idea over Charleine's superior "bedtime blanket" thing. She believed her idea was better, but went with the majority.
2) She was criticised for only selling in the final pitch - it was just luck that that pitch was the one who would buy the book. It might not have even been last, it may have just been the editing. Everyone's saying "it was the final stroke of luck" but no. That pitch could just of easily have been first and she would've won without luck.
3) She was criticised for sidelining Richard - last week, David also showed some dislike for Richard ("You've redeemed yourself Richard!"). He just doesn't get on with people for some reason - Charleine was at odds with him, so sidelined him. She may also have done so because of his ability to take credit for things - week two, very much a "delegator", not a manager. Most candidates would've sidelined him. I don't think he helped himself with his constantly negative attitude.
4) She was criticised for doing the pitch - I can understand why people would've been annoyed at her for not letting Richard pitch. But I think she just wanted closure after week two. She wasn't allowed to pitch, and had been wanting the opportunity to do so since. Like Leah Totton in episode six - she went with her choice because she'd neglected to do so thus far.
5) She was criticised for shooting down April - "I have a degree in creative writing" ... "Busy got lost after being tossed." April is one of this year's most hypocritical candidates - she didn't even put herself forward for PM despite her degree in creative writing, then expected to use this as a defence.
So yeah - Charleine was actually not that bad of a PM...

No, she wasn't that bad. At the end of the day this was a sales task and she sold 125 books out of the 205 they sold in total. Whether the big sale was first thing in the morning or last thing in the afternoon, she still got the sale.

1) She was criticised for not listening to her team - even though she did. In the initial discussions, the team wanted the bee idea over Charleine's superior "bedtime blanket" thing. She believed her idea was better, but went with the majority.
The main problem was with the rhyming in the book (which wasn't there) and the fact she wanted to do the pitch herself.

Both of those problems were addressed by her team and later brought up by Lord Sugar in the boardroom (basically the edit telling her that she was wrong)

2) She was criticised for only selling in the final pitch - it was just luck that that pitch was the one who would buy the book. It might not have even been last, it may have just been the editing. Everyone's saying "it was the final stroke of luck" but no. That pitch could just of easily have been first and she would've won without luck.
Perhaps I got it wrong, but was that an actual pitch or just last minute selling at stores? And Claude did say that Charleine brought it home at the end

3) She was criticised for sidelining Richard - last week, David also showed some dislike for Richard ("You've redeemed yourself Richard!"). He just doesn't get on with people for some reason - Charleine was at odds with him, so sidelined him. He meant it as a joke.............you didn't see him laughing with Richard in the latest episode

For further proof, David even went on twitter last Wednesday to say "my phone keeps ringing, might pass it to Richard" (Ouch!)

4) She was criticised for doing the pitch - I can understand why people would've been annoyed at her for not letting Richard pitch. But I think she just wanted closure after week two. Not helped by the fact that she basically admitted that English isn't one of her strengths. And no offence, but things like pitching are best left to people who have experience in that field.

5) She was criticised for shooting down April - "I have a degree in creative writing" ... "Busy got lost after being tossed." Poor April, so invisible the last few weeks that people forget that she was already PM once

Your post is long.

Mine is short because I think she was crap and, to boot, self-centred and nasty.

Then she is exactly what Lord Sugar is looking for, surely.

Well if you think so then she will win.

But he might have a problem because Selina is worse.

Like Selina, something undefinable quality about her just gets my goat. Maybe it was her patronising management style this week.

I don't really mind her that much. Perhaps I've just become numb to the typical 'PM going off the rails' edit. lol

She was rather patronising and bossy, so I enjoyed the irony of her being PM on a children's book task.
We were made aware of Richard's ego a few times, so it was fitting for Charleine's controlling nature to come along and crush it.

On the one hand she put herself in the starring role by doing the pitch (candidates are always encouraged to step up to the plate and not hide away) but she did also go along with the team's idea when she could have forced her own on them.

So yeah, it was a bit of a mess but I feel like I get where she's coming from.

I think the way she speaks to the other candidates is incredibly condescending.
No wonder Selina twatted her!

It was interesting that Lord Sugar's comments on this (at the beginning of the boardroom, before the results were read out) were not in anger or frustration but more in teaching mode: even though Charleine disliked him, she needed to use her strongest pitcher for the professional buyers.

As mentioned, David was clearly joking. From the edit we saw he certainly seemed to get on well with Mergim and David the last episode

What I kind way putting it - I am impressed !

But I am a bit John Bull and cannot abide either of them.

She was inarticulate and fortunate to win, but at least she put Richard's nose out of joint. I would be surprised if her business plan is impressive.

They weren't bad enough for Lord Sugar to cancel the treat - he has done that before when he thought a winning team didn't deserve it!

I don't think she was that bad.

My only major criticism was how she treated Richard which was unprofessional.

She took on the stupid bee story idea when she had a much better one, so was taking others' input on board. The rhyming (or lack of) was hilarious but "I have a degree in creative writing" April should have stepped in. Or any of the others. They initially said it didn't rhyme and then went along with it, presumably thinking if they lost they could use that as ammunition to pass all blame onto Charleine.

I imagine she's difficult to work with, but she's not the worst one in there and I quite like her.
