Corrie. Should David, Kylie, Gail and Max move house?
As far as David and Kylie know Callum is dead under Gail's bedroom. So long as they live there they will be spooked by this constantly.
David owns the house and its the same size as Sally's house. Perhaps they could swap houses and Sally etc who could move into David and Kylies house while David gets Sally's house. Kylie will feel a lot less stressed and be able to forget about the body altogether. They could also swap with Sharif etc next door. They'd need and excuse to do this, perhaps better Garden? Can you thunk of any other excuses David and Kylie could suggest to Sally for swapping houses? |

No they shouldn't move. If Gail doesn't care that her new suite was the same place where her serial killer ex husband held her family hostage and tried to kill them with C02 poisoning why would it matter that Callum's dead body is under the floor?

Why would they risk someone else finding the body?
They are stuck there.

As already said David and Kylie would be leaving the body where somebody else could potentially find it very easily if they redecorated. Don't think Gail would want to leave her home that shes just had redecorated on their say so either.

As for Gail, its David's house and he could always do the house swap behind her back as a kind of surprise

They are stuck there. One of the penalties of whacking someone to death and deciding to chuck the body down Gail's manhole rather than ring the police in lol! |

Exactly. To protect themselves they HAVE to stay there.

The obvious solution is they could all move to Italy with Sarah and live happily ever after. They'd never get caught. Besides it could be many many decades before anyone digs the floor up.

I doubt any redecoration would involve smashing through a foot of concrete, unless they wanted to build a basement lol

![]() Alternatively the David could offer to swap houses with Tyrone, Fiz and Hope so they can enjoy a nice start with a garden and play room etc. It would be next door to Tyrones work. David could offer that as a nice gesture for Tyrone et al for their current problems. Tyrone, Hope, Fiz get a nice new house and garden while Kylie is relived of her stresses. In any case wasn't the spanner Kylie hit Callum with ones of Tyrones? |

Tyrone's? He wasn't involved in the redecorating of the Platts. It was Tony's wrench.

Perhaps David could fake a roof leak or something expensive to repair to tell Gail about. Passing the house to Sally or the neighbours without telling them about this fake problem would please Gail.
No expensive repairs Sally doesn't know about it so won't be worried. Quote:

But we don't want them to leave as they're good on Coronation street. ![]() In the event of the body ever being discovered, they'd be able to work out how long he'd been dead and want to talk to the people who owned the house at the time of the death - especially once they discovered they knew him as they would. So, they would be arrested whether they were in Italy or the UK. It might be unlikely that anybody would every take the floor up and find him but they can't risk even the tiniest of chances. They are stuck there forever. |

That's if Italy has an extradition treaty with the UK.
Most countries do, especially those that are also members of the EU. generally extradition is only a problem if the country the person would stand trial in has the death penalty for the offence. We might object to passing somebody over to one of the American States that have it for example. But Italy doesn't fall into that category. |

They are stuck there forever. Fizz has previous for being involved in the disposal of Collin Fishwick some years back, (prime suspect material) and Tyrone has tools similar to the wrench what Kylie hit Callum with. Would be an interesting twist to the story. Could get Kylie and David off the hook which would be good for Max. |

I don't think leaving the EU would have any bearing on extradition treaties. We have them with loads of countries that we don't have a specific link with such as the EU or Commonwealth.
As said, the only issue tends to be with Countries who have much harsher sentencing laws than us such whippings, removal of hands or the death penalty. As soon as a house is sold there is a risk (albeit a small one) of the new owners doing work, including drilling the floor which would lead to the body being discovered. It wouldn't matter whether it was somebody they had previously known and whether they were still living in the same road or not. How would they explain wanting to leave one of the biggest houses for one of the smallest ones. How would they get Gail to agree? Why would anybody accept it as just them being nice? Nobody makes that kind oif sacrifice out of the goodness of their hearts. So the other party would be immediately suspicious assuming there must be a problem with the house so would probably not want to do it. I know you like your idea, that's fair ebough but I don't think that David, especially, would be stupid enough not to foresee all the potential problems. At least whilst they continue to live there, thhey have control over the situation so can decide who does and doesn't go in there or what work is done which they'd lose if not resident. |

Re Fiz - are you suggesting that she'd be okay to continue the cover up because she has done something in the past? If anything i think that would make it less likely, she knows how difficult it is to live with, it pretty much drove John insane and she ended up going to Prison. No way would she risk that again, especially for somebody she doesn't really know or like.
If your idea is that Fiz would be blamed shoud the body be found, doubtful as they'5 be able to establish he'd died before they moved in and also there was no connection between to establish a motive. |
