is it possible to get non flavoured jelly? i'm looking to make an apple and pear flan but i can't think of any flavoured jelly that would go well with it. i've tried googling but i cannot find anything. i looked up flan recipes but they all used caramel instead of jelly. any help?

and then do what with it? i have only ever made jelly with cubes and boiling water before so treat me like an absolute beginner. would i just do my usual method of half a pint of boiling water and half a pint of cold water?

You can buy leaf gelatine in supermarkets, soak it in cold water and then had to a warm liquid that you want to make into jelly.

thanks guys! didn't realise it was so simple. one last question, usually i would just pour the unset jelly mix in with the fruit and then leave to set. if i used say apple juice, would i have to pour the warm apple juice in with the gelatine leaf still in there or will it eventually dissolve?

Wouldn't a lime jelly go nicely with apple and pears?
