Bald patch on cat.
I've noticed a small bald patch on my cat's back slightly below his shoulder blades, about the size and shape of a postage stamp.
This is well below the spot where he gets his flea drops and in any case he hasn't needed or had these drops for a few months. There was no obvious sign of a scab that came off or some sort of trauma or burn. It is not red and itchy (mange) or presenting like ring worm according to stuff I've looked up on line, or itchy. He has been scared about fireworks going off in our area and thinking now maybe stress? Also maybe an insect or spider bite - which would be difficult to see. Not sure. I've looked at it this morning and there appears to be a few hairs growing back or it could just be more thinning. Any ideas anyone. |

My cat has a 5p coin sized one in the same place. I've asked several vets over the years about it, but they said it's just one of those things, it hasn't grown in size so don't worry about it. Initially I thought it may be where his ID chip is located, but the vets say it's elsewhere.

Thanks again
