Is EastEnders a comedy now?
Billy Talking about Honey and Bee's
The Rubbish with the Cat in the park. Kim and the Shoe accident in the vic. I am sorry but EastEnders is not a Comedy and it simply doesn't fit the show at all. |

No it isn't, but I liked it, the one-liners were funny, and drunk Kim trying to be all sexy and her heel breaking.
It made me smile.

It was a pretty poor episode.
Billy, Kim and Roxy are all dreadful and the axe should come down on them- none of them have had any development and Kim particularly is overexposed at the moment. Decent characters like Babe and Denise were simply a sideshow tonight- what is wrong with DTC? |

I enjoyed the stuff with Craig in the tree and Kim falling over. On the contrary I hated the Dean/Ronnie scenes

I just fast forwarded through all the Kim stuff, otherwise would have dosed off.

It wasn't at all funny let alone hilarious. The Carters saved this episode I thought.

Only Kim was funny tonight but I didn't mind as long as they don't always use comedy plots.

I thought it was hilarious, Carmel, Mick and Shirley trying to get Craig
then comment about Tina not liking men and then Kim falling .. I might watch it again for another laugh.

I don't know any other soap that can't do comedy, but EastEnders REALLY can't do comedy. Coupled with the 'we're Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell' self-aware load of old tosh, and EE has become a completey parody.

I don't think the show offering a humorous episode equates to the show becoming a comedy. I really enjoyed the scenes with Mick and Shirley, Carmel and Craig. Kim made me laugh too.

Mick, Shirley, Carmel and Craig was hilarious. Linda Henry has good comic timing, it's one of the reasons Shirley is so popular. I hope we see more of Shirl's lighter side.

The humour reminded me of Coronation Street.

I loved Shirley having to almost sing "Craig Revel Hor-wooood" to get the cat out of the tree
That was so un-Shirley! Also laughed at Shirley mistaking Carmel's bad neck down to her doing someone called Vikram instead of Bikram Yoga ![]() And no one does the screwed up/disgusted/puzzled faces like Shirley, lol! (nice to have this Shirley back actually). I could have done without Kim stuff but her prat fall did make me smile. And I could definitely have lived without hearing Billy go on about Honey and Bees *roll eyes* |

Rubbish episode. Some of Shirley's one-liners were good zingers but the rest was cringe. Honestly, aren't these writers ever embarrassed?
