Joining for a cameo, yes.

Will be nice to see her for one episode.

Lol, brilliant! I bet she'll be just like Joan Sanderson in Fawlty Towers :

"It hasn't got a view"
"It has got a view - that's the Yorkshire Dales"
"Well it's not good enough"
"What did you expect from a hotel in Yorkshire - Sydney Opera House perhaps? The Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain...?"

Might she prefer it if Eric moved the hotel slightly to the left?

Amazing news. It would be wonderful if Liz became an occasional repeat guest.

She couldn't cope with the corrie work load but with emmerdale it was only for one episode and by the look of it she is liking to be sitting down in most of her scenes.

Lovely news. Leeds lass Liz will make a good addition to the show, even if only for one episode.

A one off appearance every few months isn't going to be a problem. More like a regular irregular cameo than a part time job. I'm surprised they haven't introduced a semi regular gues anyway. Lots of places have repeat business.

When she was interviewed last year she couldn't get her breath.

Her health must have improved then, that's good to know. But as she' only sitting down it's probably easy for her. Be nice to see her again, though.

It does annoy me, though, when people announce that someone has 'joined' a soap when all it is is a cameo appearance or a few cameo appearances.

'Join' to me, means at least 6 months in the part.

For some reason this reminded me of when Julie Goodyear made an appearance in Hollyoaks as a B&B owner back in 2006. She was hilarious.

Eric : "If you give us any more trouble I shall visit you in the small hours and put a bat up your nightdress".

It'll only be a couple of scenes over a couple of episodes I reckon.

Will she complain that the bath is too small to drown a mouse with Eric, brigh red with rage, mumbling under his breath that he wishes she was a mouse?

Its lovely to hear that Lizs health as poor as it is is holding up to the extent that it allows her to get out and about a little to do nice stuff like this.

God Bless Ya Liz Our Vera would approve!

Nice news.

I have not seen Emmerdale since Annie Sugden's father was in it, but will make an effort to watch the scene with 'Vera' over Xmas.

She hasn't 'joined' technically as it's only a (already filmed) cameo.

Will be nice to see her again though.
